if that's the case, that shouldn't be the only download option on the "download studio" page
The most annoying, unacceptable thing, about daz central...Daz Central allows you to set a base path, which is then used for everything
The most annoying, unacceptable thing, about daz central...DAZ Central is meant for new users.
You can still use DIM or install the program manually, the download links you can find here at the site in your Product Library (My Account -> Product Library)
The most annoying, unacceptable thing, about daz central...[The most annoying, unacceptable thing, about daz central] is that when installing Studio, it does NOT allow you to decide where it's to be installed.
And not all of us WANT studio stuffed on our C: drive!

Appcrash in LIBEAY32This is what I get in the "Problem Details" for DS "Stopped working" instances in Windows reliability monitor. There is no actual error dialog, just DS disappearing very regularly. It has been triggered for instance by trying to connect my account within DS, messing with sliders, or loading a figure. I installed DS today via Central, version 4.15.0.2.
I read in some thread here that LIBEAY32.dll is a known issue. But I'm not clear on whether this is a DS issue that could be patched at some point, or if I absolutely need to do something proactively. I'm not necessarily looking to use DS in the immediate future, so I could wait for a patch. I am just trying to confirm that my new computer can run DS... (it is not so bad, 16gb RAM and RTX 3070)
Thanks for any thoughts.

And you have not installed or updated that product inside the DS, ie. in "Smart" Content?
Can you access and use the scene if you navigate to the real location in Content Library tab, ".../Environments/Architecture/Fugazi1968/FG Science Area/Ready Scene and Preload/FG Science Area Ready Scene.duf"
I have tried to load the scene through that as well and I get the same error.
But the question remains, have you ever installed or updated the product inside DS, in "Smart" Content?
If you have, then the content is installed into completely different path and that location gets priority over DAZ Central, DIM and manually installed files and folders.

Yes. Download it with the Install Manager.

I tried to install via DAZ Central and Daz install manager...both same results. Both preloads doesnt work either.
Assuming you mean Central and not Connect, just go to the folder you install to (e.g. My Daz 3d Library, then in that /Runtime/Textures/Fugazi1968/ and in that folder chnage the name of the FG Science Laboratory folder to FG Science Area and try reloading the scene file - assuming it isn't a mixture of good paths and bad that should let the product load. However, if they fix the issue by changing the paths in the user-facing files to match the actual folder in the zip then you will potentially end up with two copies of each texture, so you may need to manually remove the renamed folder after any update (if they leave the .duf files alone and chnage the folder name in the zip you wouldn't have that problem).
I just tried changing the folder's name, still getting the same error...

downloading studio questionis there anyway at all any more to download studio with OUT having to download daz central? I have studio, i just need to redownload it because I need to reinstall it - parts of it got corrupted.
And I use install manager
i do not want to have to uninstall studio and then install central and download studio that way. I just want the studio install files for the version i currently have.

Daz Central Not RespondingHello,
Every time I launch Daz Central it just gets stuck in a "not responding" state. Also, I cannot find a download link for the actual Daz Studio. The link always goes to Daz Central download and there doesn't seem to be a way to download Daz Studio.
Any idea how to get Daz Central to work? I have a powerful PC.
Thanks!

I have some questions. that seemed to be passed over .
1) Will Daz5 still read. DUF, ? or support pz3 like daz4?
Given the comments on compatibility I would say that was a clear yes for .duf at least
2) Will there be a offer for downloads of older version of daz 4 such as 4.11 or 4.12 ?
I wouldn't expect that to change, it will be the latest DS 4 on the DS product page and in DIM/Central
3) Will the Daz bridges to blender still work?
That we won't know, but I'm sure they will be updated if necessary
4) Will GoZ still work or a new zbrush bridge for us zbrush users?
GoZ is a plug-in so it will need a new file, to go to the new location, but I have no doubt it will be updated (though I've no idea if that will be immediate, or if the two will be different enough to have both GoZ afor DS 4 and GoZ for DS 5 installed at the same time).
5) Will the animate2 timeline and the .GFA scripts for aniblock still work in the new daz 5?
Nothing has been said to indicate otherwise, though it is possible from what was said that not all features may be in the initial release.
Thank you
How can I downgrade?Daz Central/Install Manager will show an update while online if an older version is installed.
How can I downgrade? It seems that 4.15 has removed support for my video card. I'm going to have to rely on a previous version. How can I get one? Will Daz Central automatically try to upgrade me if I do actually find an older version?

Have tried several times It seems to stop at 715, then restarts at 53%.
Can I get a manual setup.exe?.

Can I ask, can the accelerator be installed manually?
It's in the fast grab at the moment, and I have held off thinking that it'd need installation through DIM. Having seen the problems that can be generated, I am NEVER letting DIM or DAZ Central organise the location of any of my stuff. What makes it easier is that the machine is offline, so manual installation is actually easier. Anyway, is it a DLL that needs to be put in the program directory, or is there more to it that prevents manual installation? If it's prevented, much as I'd like the accelerator I'll not get it and I've saved money that is otherwise guaranteed to be spent on the accelerator.
Regards,
Richard
I'm not aware that it needs to add anything to the registry or the like during the instalaltion stage.
I can confirm this from personal experience. I used DIM to install the dll on my test and set up PC and then copied it to the render PC manually. It's been running happily ever since.
Ideally, DAZ need to supply two manual installers for this product, one for the Studio content folder and the other for the Windows system folder.
Cheers,
Alex.
