  • Help - Marvelous Designer to Daz3d

When using Transfer Utility, your clothing needs to be at 100% scale. So rescaling or transforming the clothing before running transfer utility is the problem.  After scaling it to fit to your avatar, you should export it as obj and then reimport it so it's at 100%.

For future endeavours, you need to make sure:

    1. When you import your Daz avatar into Marvelous Designer, you use the correct import settings (e.g., cm for Daz studio figures)

    2. When you import your Marvelous Designer clothing into Daz, you need to use the correct scale (e.g., 100%)

  • Issues with Spidertech Outfit Sku# 65791

    Hello All,

This week I had purchased the Spidertech Outfit for Genesis 8 Female here:

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-spidertech-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

I have noticed a number of problems with this outfit, but two main issues stand out.  The first problem is that none of the morph controls work on the skirt for the outfit.  There are a bunch of controls listed, but not a single one works.

The next issue I am having is with the spider arms.  There doesn't seem to be any positioning controls save for the standard XYZ ones.  Using them causes the arms to separate.  This makes the arms unusable.

At this particular point in time, I am ready to return this item, but before I go hollaring that it is defective,  I figured I would check here with others that may have this outfit and perhaps it is something I am doing wrong, but I doubt it.

    Thank you,

    Geo

  • Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.12.2.60! (*UPDATED*)

Hi all,  any news on DAZ bug fix for daz NOT saving any morph animations? :)    This has be very frustrating bug that is hindering my work tremendously..

If anyone has an older version of DAZ 4.12.0.8xx that can post for people to download and install untill this bug is fixed, that would be wonderful.  That version used to save morph animations fine..

    help...  :)

The only way to obtain an older version is to request one from Customer Services:

No the issue was definitely on my end again lol. It's one of those days for me, to many distractions at the house. I must have forgot to save the wearable once the morph was working properly. Tested and retested, third time's a charm.

Well, I tried that, and unless I did something wrong (I just overwritten the previous collar morph) it doesn't do that much either. I'll keep the undress morph thingy on a lower number for now. That seems to work as well. There's enough breast to be seen :)

You did restart DS after replacing the morph?

  • Mystique 2 & Expansions for G8F [Commercial]

I've got a small issue where the collars of the operator blazer poke through the blazer itself, but only on the left side. Can't seem to fix it too.

Can you provide a screen capture or quick render please so I know exactly where the issue(s) are.

The under breast section of the blazer doesn't appear to be smooth, esp with non-default G8F breasts.

What breasts morph(s) are you using and will be using? These will require there own morphs but is no problem. Also the product comes with two official Mystique breast morphs found (in the parameters pane) under G8F>actor>chest>Herschel Hoffmeyer that work great.

I apologize for the black and white picture. If it's necessary I'll try and open the file when I can. The gray part and the black part of the blazer intersect but it's only on the left side. The other side of the clothing is fine. I though it might had to to something with the included breast morph (since my characters breasts were already kinda big and it made them massive). But I turned it off it's the same thing. (sorry for my English, I hope I explained it well enough).

Here is a collar adjustment morph that should fix the problem and please let me know if it does. Just download the file and install it to your daz library folder, same one the Mystique product installed in.

It works a little bit. Though Now that I've tried some other morphs some more. I've used the "undress expose breasts" morph which seems to cause the poking through. I've reduced it by a bunch and that seems to fix it.

Oops, sorry. I was hoping to catch you before downloading. I should have double checked the morph in daz, I fixed it. Sorry for the double download, here is the correct morph as the last one was not properly exported from my modeler.

  • [Released] Expression Mixer

The expressions that are created, how can they appear in the PARAMETERS tab?, since I am thinking of buying this product to create new MORPHS, which daz recognizes as morphs

They will appear as percentages of the expressions that you mixed. That could be a lot of entries, because some of the expressions you chose to mix might be combinations of other dials already. Keep in mind that you can't legally combine someone else's morphs into a single morph and sell it as your own.

  • Transfer bones and rigging from Genesis 3 to Genesis 1.

to be able to use female morphs from G3F in G3M, I could transform the morph from G3F to G1, and then from G1 to G3M.

No need to transfer them to G1 first,  you can transfer them directly from G3F to G3M with GenX2.

I didn't know that I could do that. surprise Then another solution would be to use this morph in G3M or G3F and transfer all morphs from G3F or G3M respectively.

By the way, I asked someone who have GenX2 for help to see the result of using Genesis 1 "basic female" morph in G3M:

  • Transfer HD into Normal Map image

I found out that there is not possible export HD into FBX since is using sub divisions of meshes that FBX is not suporting.

I have exported the HD into OBJ but unfortunateley I'm having a hard time tranfering into a Normal Map.

Please can someone help my with any kind of tips or tricks on how I can do this? Which applications I should use to be able bake normal maps images out of a Genesis mesh?
I have tried blender but the resulted image in not right, I'm unable to create a high resolution normal map out of the obj file.

  • My freebies

I quite like KI, but admit that I did feel the need for a certain amount of dial spinning to her before wanting to use her, as I describe below:

    1. Her chest. To be honest I didn't like its shape much. Have tweaked it with the G8Body morphs to reduce size & pendulousness a good deal. This is more due to me feeling that a large chest does not go too well with the low body fat ratio of the rest of her.
    2. Just as an aside, it may be useful to use the standard G8 nipple morphs. This will reduce the chance of pokethrough with clothing - or do a separate nipple morph for the figure. To avoid pokethrough I ended up having to modify the G8Body Morphs Nipple Morph to allow -100% strength to stop pokethrough on some clothing. Smoothing modifiers simply weren't up to the job.
    3. Her thighs and glutes. Again reduced their size a great deal using the G8Body morphs. They seemed a bit out of proportion to me - even if KI was intended to be a world class power lifter.
    4. Used the skin from HinkyPunk's Aniyah. Her features are far from caucasian (nose, lip, eye & eyebrow shape), and with Aniyah's skin and the changes above, I think KI actually looks fantastic.

I now think she looks like a female Olympian in one of the combined speed & explosive power sports, like Javeline, Discus or possibly Boxing. Haven't done any renders with her yet, but they will come.

All in all - thanks. She's good and I will enjoy using her for renders.

    Regards,

    Richard.

Edited to add: done a couple of quick renders, modified as stated above. She definitely looks right with a darker skin.

  • My freebies

I played around with Ki just a little bit and thought I'd leave some feedback. I have a few points of criticism but please don't take it the wrong way! I like Ki a lot and I'm super thankful that you're making her available for free! It's meant as constructive feedback, feel free to disregard it if it's not useful to you.

I like her head morph a lot, she's beautiful! I hope I can find some time soon to post some renders of her.

I'm so-so on her body morph. I like her exagerated hour glass shape and the sculpt of her abdominal area; but the pronounced hip bones are not to my taste and I find that her breasts have a slightly awkward shape.

I find it odd that she's cathegorised as Caucasian, she reads as Black or perhaps south-east Asian to me. I don't really understand what you're going for with her skin, she's chalky pale like the War Boys in Fury Road.

Her morphs don't show up under shapes and she loads without lashes.

Hope some of that was useful to you! Thank you again, and cheers!

no problem with your critque :) as i asi in the past(on other boards) im not really good at "light" models.  so i create them, upload to see wht others says. then work on suggestions. then upload again see what others asy, then work on suggestiosn and so on and so forth :)
