3D Art Freebie Challenge-March 2021-"Chasing Your Golden Dreams" -Main Thread Only
It appears my dreams have shrunk a bit recently.. Had hoped to be able to do an image with a couple of sprinters taking off on the athletics track, but that didn't quite work out due to re-modelling of parts of the track taking longer than I'd hoped - I ended up having to do programming to add features to my modeller to make the modelling easier. So, here is my little offering.

Balmy days are here (well, until Thursday..!) and it's now legal in England to take a day out on the beach, so what could be better to do than pop to the beach & do some socially distanced sunbathing while doing a little people watching?

IRay DAZ Uber clear glass shader used on water bottle plastic. Original Poser shader looked like white polythene in DS. DS Uber Shader used on FlipFlops & diffuse colour turned pink-ish from cowpat brown.
Possibly Suntan Lotion as it wasn't available all month.
I think every item needs free registration prior to download. There was zero post work, as post work is the best way I know for me to wreck an image.

Since the properties do show up correctly in the morph's dsf file. You'd need both figure and graft loaded. You don't need a proxy - you have two objects already - you just need to create the ERC link.
So which script in the link you pointed me to should I be looking at?

One of the hairs looks messed up, and I didn't let it finish rendering, but I think you get the point. The original Camile is on the left. The transferred (G8) Camile is on the right. It looks like you lose a bit of detail in the transfer because the original is HD. But otherwise, I'd say she looks good.
SSD IssuesI have one of those nvME M.2 drives mentioned above but it is 1TB and not my system disk (my C: system drive is an older type SSD). I use the M.2 drive to store my DAZ library (at least the DIM folders - the old Poser style folders are still in a Legacy Library on my HDD). However, I did not see a marked difference when I switched my DIM content to the M.2 drive. I have to say that my load times are quite good compared to some numbers I've seen mentioned on this forum - a base G8F loads in under 10 seconds and any character not much longer.
Still, I only have around 25 G8 characters wheras other people have hundreds so I'm sure that is the main reason my load times are quite low. I tend to buy characters for the skins, not the shapes. So I have several morph packs to make it possible to dial-in the shape I want.
Morphs made in ZBrush look roughNo, morphs work only on the base cage mesh (PAs have a tool or tools for handling HD morphs that isn't avaialble for the rest of us, or for creating content for any purpose but sale through Daz). The only way to use the higher detail is by baking to a displacement (or normal) map to be applied on top of the base morph, which can be tricky in itself as ZBrush doesn't understand UDIMs (unless that was added just recently).

Morphs made in ZBrush look roughWhen I transfer G8 model to ZBrush its polygons look way too big.
If I use DynaMesh then I can't save my morph in Daz Studio (it says geometry was changed).
But if I increase SDiv level everything seems to be ok and I even can save it. But then I found that morph doesn't work unless it was in SDiv level 1.
So my question if there is some way to work in ZBrus with high resolution and get that morph saved?
Knittingmommy's LaboratoryThis is the first chance I've had to explore the new materials on the Genesis 8.1 upgrade. I can't say I'm all that impressed. I did however buy a couple of PA figures that use the new materials for the 8.1 figures, and those I like.
Here's a side by side comparison of what I've done so far. The morph is a mix I did so no specific characters. The lighting is the same in both images. I did change the clothing as well as the materials for the second image because I wasn't happy with the outfit I'd picked for the first image with Genesis 8.1. Post processing is exactly the same for both images. Overall, I love the skin done by Marcius. I have two other 8.1 female figures and I have Micheal 8.1, so I'll be rendering those soon.

With all due respect to the person who posted the videos about Data transfer /re rigging in BlenderI do Not reccomend this for people who already own the Full CC3 pipeline software.
You can build a library of ready to use, Daz converted, clothing & hairs/skins in CC3
and dress and export the figures from CC3 to Blender instantly with free Pipeline Addon (by victor soupday)
to auto setup materials in Blender.Just to be clear, my pipeline is based on using ANIMATIONS from iclone on the FBX exports to Blender.
For those doing stills/portaits in Blender with Genesis 8 figures I reccomend
using the free Diffeo plugin and exporting from Daz studio to blender.If indeed you need to use a CC3 chracter in Blender then use the aforementioned free addon.

Resources for performing basic Daz tasks in Blender?Do you have a quick tutorial about how to do the one click clothing conversion from Daz to CC3 rig? And once converted to FBX - would you use the data transfer modifier mentioned above to conform them in Blender? Would love to build a library in blender of covered Daz clothes I can swap out on CC3 to Blender imported characters.

Those Anilip 2 facial animations are based on the phoneme morphs of the Daz figures.
using them directly on a CC3 Character is a non starter.A CC3 Character imported ,Via the Blender CC3 pipeline tool or Standard FBX, will
bring in its own Iclone/CC3 native shape keys for facial animation.(see pic)However the best way to create a facial animation for a CC3 Avatar is in Iclone
which has a newly updated facial animation system, far superior to Anilip 2 or any Daz mimic system.This facial animation will import to Blender as animated Shapekeys in an FBX export from CC3 pipeline.

I've been saving it with the morph on the g8m. I tried going to the geograft's controller morph, setting the the g8m morph as a subcomponent, and set the "set save with" to "controller" but that does not seem to do anything :/ Unless I'm doing that wrong.

e: if you're importing the morph, it will be present on the current figure you imported it on, but it won't be present on any other copies of the figure you load, it sounds like you need to save a morph asset including your new dials
I saved all the morphs, both the ones for the geograft and the one for g8. The morph itself shows up when I load a fresh g8m. The issue is that the morph is losing the "controller stage 1" setting I had saved it with that references the morph on the geograft that is controlling it.
When I open the dsf file for the morph, I see it correctly referenced in the dsf file, it's just losing the controller variable when it's loaded in Daz

Rendered in multiple stages and postworked in Paintshop Pro to combine into final image, add noise, add signature.
Figures with custom Nipples are not exported through the bridge.@acdum1857 Well jcms do work with diffeo, you have to load them and eventually transfer them though, as explained in the docs. The new 1.6 version also gets a easy import that does it for you.
