Help finding 'It Girl Poses'/ParallaxCreates promo model?
Does the model used in It Girl Poses and Expressions for Genesis 8.1 Females (https://www.daz3d.com/it-girl-poses-and-expressions-for-genesis-81-females) look familiar to anyone? She also shows up in other promo images from ParallaxCreates as well. I've tried searching for her but I'm thinking it might be a custom. Figured I would ask in case anyone can identify the morph or materials used.
Thanks!

On a different subject - to the user who mentioned figure load times, I'm with you. I try not to complain about Studio (DAZ have enough on their plates), but if anything would truly improve my workflow, it would be improved figure (posing included) and scene loading.
The easist work around for slow load times is to go into the data file and hide all of the character morphs you are not using for a given character. You will have to unhide them whenever you want to create a new character, but until there is a better fix it is a work around.
Just going to put this here, in case anyone is interested (morph hiding script freebie): https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/505201/long-load-times-this-may-help#latest
I wasn't aware of that thread, good looking out and posting a link here.

Thank you Headwax for the extension.

I made a few changes:
I added a Particle System and attached it to a Motion Path (Motion Tab > Motion Path). I moved the points of the Motion Path around to create a loopy loopy flight path. I then textured that Particle System with a green 'smoke' texture.
I duplicated that Particle System and changed a few parameters to create a few 'sparkles' within the green smoke.I detailed the broom a bit more to try to give it more character. I gave the cat's tail a morph so it's not so pointed out straight.
I also added a few more clouds.
The art you all create here leaves me humbled.

Definately adds to the render !!!
How to add bones to preexisting DAZ3D figures such as G8F/MI have HFS Ultimate Shapes Bundle, and applied the Feet Hands morph. Now I want to make the feet actually MOVE like the hands as opposed to the essentially foot mittens they currently are (or you can go in and manually select the individual toe bones, but toes aren't fingers even so, having a lack of that third joint).
So, how does one put functioning extra joints into the toes? Carpals (tarsals?) in the foot area for that extra movement (like the hands in the Genesis 8 series). How does one align and bind them without having to export the character and redo with the Figure Editor?
I've created Face Groups for the toes and had a fiddle with some of the menus, but cannot find the face groups anywhere else but in Geometry Editor Tool Menu. Is there a tutorial on Organic rigging that is up to date, covers how to make tarsals and carpals, and how to 'cut' up an existing humanoid figure to add extra joints? Because, how does one even Carpal?
XTransfer Module 1- Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Morph Converter (Commercial)Hi, just using the xTransfer, I was transfering a Genesis 3 character (esme) to Genesis 8, however it seems to be taking a long time to transfer. It's reached 71% but it hasn't crashed.
It's been going for over an hour and I'm wanting to know is this normal to take this long? The model is
https://www.daz3d.com/vyk-esme
It's stuck on the part 'Updating Morph Deltas'
Also, to add it needs the Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs and Victoria 7 Character. Would that be the reason?

Shape KeysIf the original and target mesh are identical, you can transfer shapekeys freely between the two.
the skimpiest skimpwear in store?the skirt has a hidden morph so you just have the panties/belt of course you can make the skirt semi transparent too of course which looks pretty good with the bra if you have other shaders you can change thebone like parts colours

the bundle has the outfit, textures and character

After making a texture image of your friend's face [Face Transfer saves it when you save the scene subset it makes], then use it instead of the Gorilla's face/lips/ear/eye socket face image. Then apply the fur and carry on.
okay - next stupid question - how?
I can load the gorilla, i can generate the face on it, but it makes the gorilla's head small and human while leaving the body big and morphed into the gorilla - just puts the G8 male head on the gorilla's body - instead of just putting the face on the gorilla
However, even after saving the face i can't find a way to apply just the face to the gorilla.
Egaads. No that's not going to work.
If just wanting the texture applied to the gorilla: Load Genesis 8 Male. Run Face Transfer. Save the Scene. Browse to the textures folder to find where all the new textures were saved to.
Clear the scene. Load in G8M, apply the new textures to it ... dial in as much of the Gorilla Shape as looks good to have. Pose figure. Set up lights. Apply whichever fur type you're using.
Render image.
...................................................
If you load the new Face Transfer scene that has your friend's face morphed to G8M ... you'll have to select the desired textures esp. for the eyes. I just apply the eyes from any other character, it'll work. Won't save, but it'll work for a render. If you can find the Gorilla morph over on the Parameters Tab, then you can dial it in, pose the figure, set up the lights, apply whichever fur type you're using, render image.
.............................................
For many uses: After saving the Face Transfer subscene, [its on G8M], set G8M to base resolution, REMOVE the eyelashes, shoot it over the bridge to Hexagon. This is easy. Just send it there over the bridge. Back in D/S, clear the scene and load in a fresh G8M. Remove the eyelashes and set the resolution to base. G8M is selected. Over in Hexagon select that G8M morphed figure and shoot it back over the bridge to D/S. A popup will appear and you name the morph [has to be a unique name], Yes to the various controls. Yes to "reverse deformations." And hopefully after you hit Accept, it will be successfully made into a morph over on the Parameters Tab to the place you chose. I leave them under Morphs until I see if they are keepers or not, I like to be able to find them ;-)
So dial it in, and if you like it enough to keep it, then dial it to zero and save it. File > Save As > Support Assets > Morph assets ... just select ONLY the one new morph you just made.
Clear the scene, load in either the Gorilla or G8M, find your new morph, dial in some, load the new textures [or at least the face], etc. as mentioned above.
If you want more details than this all, I would suggest reading my tutorial which is in my account at sharecg.com.

BP probably means body preasure. It's usually a morph for the character.
Well with this you need to select the clothing, not the character, to apply it.
Are there any corresponding BP morphs in the character for this outfit? It might be making the outfit press into the character without them, making it look thinner.
No not separate morphs, but I can see now that if you select the character instead of the clothing and apply the BP presets you get both thickness and body pressure. So thickness seems to be default, but if you select the clothing instead of the character and turn on BP, thickness is removed, and vice versa. Maybe an unintended side effect.
Clueless on how to use Michael 8.1 Veins Morph (can't find it...)Hello, all.
On Michael 8.1's product page ( https://www.daz3d.com/michael-8-1 ), the "What's Included and Features" section lists "Michael 8.1 Veins Morph" and "Veins Normal Map Preset". Yet, nowhere could I find any reference to it in the software (Parameters, Surfaces, Shaping, Anatomy, Materials...) nor a Map for it in the actual folders. I am completely clueless on how I am supposed to use this feature.
I've even used the DIM to reinstall Michael 8.1
Please help!
Thanks, Uri.

btw, the forum page shows "1 comment" to my topic. I can't see any though, hmmm...

Daz Bridge Support Is Here!Mosk the Scribe said:
Is a Bridge in the works for Houdini? Would open up a new world of possibilities. Sure wish DAZ would consider it.
It's fantastic to be able to use Houdini's vast range of special effects - including, not limited to, cloth simulation, hair etc. I have just dug out my old DAZ 2 Houdini bridge and updated it to better support Genesis 8.1 (the old morph loader didn't pass the new export correctly). My bridge isn't limited to Genesis figures, but supports any rigged geometry (and DUF), including DHDM (hires detail) natively. It works in the FREE Houdini as well as in professional versions.
Unfortunately, DAZ expects software like this to be released for free with no compensation for the developer (according to an email exchange I have had with them). I have invested several hundred hours of work, tweaking, bug-fixing and improving the solution I came up with - and felt disrespected when they contacted me about it, so I am afraid, you will need to support one of the three or four other projects out there (which, AFAIK, are open source). I am sure the developers working on the other solutions welcome any input/help they can get. I do not know how flexible/stable their solutions are, though.
Why am I writing this here? Precisely because, DO SUPPORT developers, don't take them as "given canon fodder" like DAZ does. Ask them, contact them directly, offer your support - and be it of moral kind. Just like artists hunger for feedback, developers love to be treated with (some) respect and just want to be "recognized".

Recreating a character - any ideas on used presets, character or hair based on photo?I agree there are similarities but not enough for me to say it's the same character. I found a couple of others on Rendo that are close and could work (with morphing) but aren't exact. If the rest of this goes nowhere I'll post the linnks for you to check out.
I don't know if you did this yet but I've asked Aero3DX what the texture and character is. Just got to wait for a response now, if there is one. The texture could be problematic as the images have a LOT of post work on them, making the texture vague. However, having seen more images of the April character, I'm convinced they exist in one of the stores. When I have a bit of time I'm going to go through the stores as I'm interested in her face myself. :-)
If you could do that, that would be great. Like i said, I texted him multiple times asking him specifically about the used skin / character. Aside from telling me that he uses one he decided to stay very vague and neither telling me the name nor providing me with the link.
I agree that April (which is the name of his girl) is derived from a base character mixed with a multitude of other morphs as his other character all have the same childish/ young narrow-jaw face. Hope you have more than me and I would really appreciate if you have any further information or hints! Thanks!
It's been long enough since I left them a message and I've got nothing back. I'm afraid you're on your own. Two things to try, find a character that's close and use them as a base. Claire for Genesis 8 Female is the closest I've found and the texture seems good enough too.
Or, if you have the option and the fix package, you could run the better images through Face Transfer. With the right image you can get some good results for a starting point.I've been after that smile for awhile and keep seeing various artists use it (or something similar), which makes me think it's not custom but no luck on that so far either. There's a Rarestone smile that's close but not close enough.
