I am trying to write.  It might not be great but it is writing.  Right now in my story my character is looking for free clothing for her virtual doll Victoria.  She is using a program that is only known as DS4.9.

Morning. Bliss to have so much gentle rain falling but oscar mike golf the sky is full of little white and red jets real low maybe practicing an ear splitting acrobatic display for the tennis.

Not a good idea!  It might melt.  Or it might release toxins into your drink/food.

    Dana

cup says it's 10% recycled.  toxins don't sound so far fetched.

all the blizzardy talk puttin me in daquiri mood.  banana daquiris!

Blizzard == snow or some kind of mutoid buzzard ? Oh wow big thunder here, flashes must be real high :)

Blizzard is snow with sustained winds of a certain speed...I think 40mph or higher, I'm not positive.  But the result is snow moving nearly horizontally as it comes down.  It means drifts that can be quite deep.  It means the "wind chill" is freaking frigid.  it means one side of your house may be clean, the other side (being hit by the wind) may have snow stuck to it from top to bottom and maybe even a couple inches thick.  It means that if you are out in it, with face unprotected, it will feel like your face is being sandblasted...with ice rather than sand.  It means, stay home and drink hot chocolate!  It means perhaps you can find the front steps if you work at it.  indecision

    Dana

uh OK thanks I got confused cos it isn't on the list of precipitation types but I guess from the description the blizzard comes after the snow forms. Think I would prefer to walk in a snowdrift to a blizzard. There is horizontal rain? Oh I see, the wind is horizontal, was going to say wow stuff is sure different north of here laugh

That's nothing.  I've watched light snow, on a day when it's just slightly breezy off and on, sometimes drift back upwards before it comes down!  I've seen all kinds of things in New England!   laugh

Blizzard defined: Officially, the National Weather Service defines a blizzard as a storm which contains large amounts of snow OR blowing snow, with winds in excess of 35 mph and visibilities of less than 1/4 mile for an extended period of time (at least 3 hours).

    http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/what-is-a-blizzard/5674708

The whiteout conditions make travel very dangerous.

    Dana

I been in some pretty wild dust storms but you can't see more than a couple of feet in them so that might be a red-out ?  Sunlight in spray can get ghostly and sometimes deadly when it is coming off a boat at speed I guess that would be white - out.

The worst are those pop up text ads that appear right in the video window.

Google has an adblocker but it only works with their Chrome Browser which in turn does not play well with some of the sites I frequent.

I hate being assaulted by adverts.

I'm hoping I won't live long enough to see a giant advertisement on the moon.  Something like: "Because We Can!"

...apologies again, Leela says goodnight. She played this as her final encore in her debut performance at New Royal Festival Hall in London after which she bowed and then wished everyone a good night.before scampering off the stage.

Nice!  Sounds very sonoric (sonorous) & vast, as if performed in a cathedral by people who practiced in one.

I remember during the ceremonies in the US Capitol building for president Reagan's funeral there were several bands & orchestras and most of them sounded absolutely terriible, I mean REALLY, REALLY BAD because of the echoes from the dome.  However, there was one group that knew which song to play and how to use the echos to their advantage and it was absolutely majestic.  The louder tones of the music were timed to build and harmonize with the echoes and the sound just grew and grew.  Marvelous! I was hoping that the TV announcers would have mentioned it but they seemed to be oblivious and musically naive robots. That event was something that should have been recorded but I can't even find it on the Internet.

Echoes can be amazing if used right.  I remember the first time I visited Dan yr Ogof. This is an interconnected series of caves and passages, and one of the caverns is called the Cathedral cave.  The time we were there they were playing a recording of Welsh male voice choirs, and as you traveresed the series of caves the echoes would swell and then mute again, until you got to the Cathedral cave, when you heard them full on.
