She's out and looks good. She looks far more feminine than before, but still retains that iconic amazon-princess essence.

    Ehhhhh. Eh.

    The Victoria problem returns.

It is interesting that this is the first one that doesn't have a Silver character - 3DSublime made the other additional one instead.

  • Have her in the cart, not sure I will buy it, though. Nice characters and hair, the exercise poses are interesting, but the clothing choices aren't exactly inspiring.

I definitely don't like that weird curvy bend around the ear for Ireland Hair, doesn't look realistic to me.  And I like it even less in the second thumbnail (dark hair)  I noticed they only show that side once. There is a morph that says bend behind right ear, but I can't tell if that second thumbnail is what it looks like before or after you straighten it out. If it's afterward, it's a disaster. Hair doesn't bend like that, it's a straight line pulled taunt to the ear then curves behind the ear, it's not a bend floating above it. Maybe the promo art just doesn't do it justice.

The morph may just be dialed in too much in that promo. This may be more what it looks like w/o the morph.

I think the main promo image for the starter bundle shows the Ireland hair without the bizarre behind the ear morph? If so, doesn't look too bad without it!

She's nice to have and was quite the surprise, as I thought Eva had replaced her as the athletic girl + that there was talk about an Isabella character a while back. Then again I think I go for the base figure only since the rest of the stuff feel rather redundant. I've very little use for another elven archer outfit or cowgirl outfit.

Didn't think I'd say this since muscluar women are so not my thing, but wow she is pretty!

I think I like her even more than Olympia!

The only thing that bothers me just a littttttleee bit are the legs, too muscular compared to the upper body but that is just my taste I guess.

Good job with this character Daz! : )

Not sure how I feel about this one. The pro bundle has exactly one outfit I would likely use. One hair I know I would use and the other hair I could possibly use.  The figure is nice but somehow a bit underwhelming.  Probably will just cherry pick on this one unless there are some really good deals that show up with tomorrow's new releases that push me into buying the bundle in order to leverage a discount or something.

  • I loved Gia 6.

Again, the face has (almost) no personality, contrario to previous generation (6) where each babe was clearly identifiable.

    But...

Positive side: the skin and the morph are wonderful. really. At last a really white person (likle caucasian in central europa or slavonic/slavic ).

In the bundle, there are at least 2 superbs items: UMA is AWESOME. And at last, we have a good ponytail. (do you know that it is the favorite hair of men for women? ). The geneva hair seems really nice. The node of the ponytail is a bit big. But we waited 7 month to have a decent ponytail (not as good as my 2 fav ones)

AprilYSH's Geneva Hair looks almost as gorgeous as my current favourite, Odessa Hair. I am really excited about AprilYSH's latest releases. Gia7 looks very nice, too, but I am waiting for a new male figure/character for G3M or M7. But looking at Geneva Hair's list of supported shapes, we are to expect some more females:

    • Victoria 7
    • Arabella 7
    • Bethany 7
    • Eva 7
    • Gia 7
    • The Girl 7
    • Izabella 7
    • Karen 7
    • Olympia 7
    • Teen Josie 7
    • Teen Julie 7

EDIT: Meanwhile, I did my first renders with Geneva Hair and it is as excellent as I had expected. Such a lot of fine morphs!!! There is only one fault: The hairline looks as if the person would suffer from beginning hair loss (see pic). Maybe something with the scalp opacity went wrong. Does anybody know how to correct it? I tried the hair on several G3F figures, and it was the same with Olympia, V7, Bethany7 etc.

We were expecting Izabella before we knew Gia and The Girl were planned. Teen Julie is new today though. Thank you April for supporting all of the forthcoming shapes so well~

I'm not holding my breath for too many new males too soon since it's Daz, but those being in the works (and have been for months) don't actually mean there can't be males being made too.

One nice thingI noticed: none of the included outfits have high heels! Finally! Not that I mind heels, but most of the clothes in my runtime have them. This was a pleasant surprise. As was Gia 7 herself. I was expecting Isabella, but I'm not complaining.

Now roll on Gianni 7, David 7, Darius 7, Lee 7 and why not Mustafa 7 (Arab), Vigdis 7 (Indian) and Lucian 7 (slim, elfine androgynos character) - OK I just made up those last 3, but I want similar characters. After all I do want a more ethnically diverse runtime.

None of the outfits or hair look good to me and I will not use. We already did greek withI Olympia. Skins look nice as do shapes. Not sure I need her though. She does fill the Lucy lawless older woman slot. Promo art quite unflattering and no scifi out fits.

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 2,048

I too was a bit surprised how similar the theme is to Olympia.

I was expecting Gia to be a modern day athlete/military girl.

And yes, where are the men Daz?!

Does anyone know if G3 versions of Giselle and Ysabeau are planned at some point?

Yannek made Giselle (or at least some of the textures, no idea if they did the rest or if not who did) and has been involved with a lot of Daz Originals from what I can tell, but doesn't actually release that much on the store so no idea as to activity.

Ysabeau was by Thorne and Sarsa, and Sarsa has had textures / clothing coming out recently, but Thorne hasn't been active since the G3F head resources and Josie 7 (which I think she made? Not sure on that.) It's kind of unusual that Ysabeau got a 6 added, since she didn't really have a full character release like the others did (no starter/pro bundle.)

Not that either of those things mean or suggest anything, but one could hope they're working on new characters~

Also while I'm not interested in Gia, the previous double release of Olympia and Leo gives me hope that Gianni is on his way. Maybe we'll get a male model with more than one eye colour and skin texture this time >.>

    Hera:

I'm with you! I think the release of G3M has been abysmally slow. We're now at a rate of 4 females to 1 male, which if this was the case in the real world the human race would be extinct pretty fast. I know that females make more money, but is the profit margin for a new male really 1/5 of what a female release is?!

    PS what abut teen Jayden?!

  • nicsttnicstt Posts: 11,715

I like the look of Gia 7, never bought 6 as didn't like; I like the other two characters too; the poses are tempting, but the shorter hair looks unnatural. Still trying to decide on the other hair.

... The clothes, well, they look weird in the promos - and are more of the same.

So if anything I'll get the added figures, but $22 for one character after discount seems a lot to me, although she is one of my favourites so far - so who knows.

Of course someone knows, but they wont say, the rest of us can merely speculate.

    I kind of like it.

I like the harder lines and muscular definition.

Not 22$ worth of like mind you ... but a nice character to look at from afar.

I can't figure out why they release so many base figures in pro bundles, what is the purpose when 90% of new figures coming out are based of the base female or male.  The bundle comes with a couple new characters that you probably need that base figure for but that's about it, all the clothing and hair and poses fit all G3 characters.  After the release it seems there are very few characters using say Karen 7, Eva 7 or Josie 7, most are based off base or V7. The only thing is a new uv

So, where are your Gia renders guys? Show me some non-promotional Gia 7! : )

Im about 5 months pregnant so some figures are slipping through the cracks for me lol. Not for lack of wanting to create for the base, just sometimes I dont make the deadline :D I have one I was working on for Gia and I still might finish her or might rework her for something else hehe.

G3M was released six months after G3F so at least some of the difference is to be expected.

Ooh, congratulations! It's okay, you've ruined my wallet plenty already with your other characters v.v

  • Gia 6 is one of my most-used figures, but unfortunately I'm a little strapped for cash ATM. Still, she's definitely on my 'to buy' list... after Daz releases a creature creator for Genesis 3, of course. ;)

I DO like that the majority of outfits released with Gia 7 don't have high heels (especially impractical ones that would kill the poor woman if she stepped funny on the stairs for a split second) for a change. There is hope, after all!

I guess I'm just a glamour puss because I love all the high heel sexy stuff as well as the fantasy action.  Can't wait to put Gia 7 and her sexy self in some corsets and pouty poses ;).  Especially love the ponytail since I saw it on Zoe, who I picked up as well.

I think her sculpt looks great but I'd really like to see a makeup free render... or does her base texture even have one?

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 2,048

I'm sure there is a no-make up option.

Daz never shows these in promos and I think they should.

Gia has 6 make-up options but only 4 are shown in the promos.
