Is there any way to create an account *without* having it tied to social media?

I flatly refuse to have anything to do with social media.

Yes, no facebook here, but I can view it without problems.

There used to be - mine is just my email address.

I've never seen the point in 'social media', given that I'm somewhere on the spectrum between asocial and actively anti-social.

Still having problems with the file downloads. Anybody else have any luck with the links for the freebies?

  • They all downloaded without problem for me using Chromium on my Linux laptop

  • JOdelJOdel Posts: 6,306

Yes, I see that I can view it. But I wanted to download it for reference.

I guess bookmarking will have to do.

I had no problems with IE 11

Thats weird. I can use IE and Firefox and the freebies will not download. I get messages stating usually the page doesn't exist, or the address might be wrong, etc, etc. The first night I had no problems except with Lenore for G2female. Last night nothing worked. I can see and d/l all the issues, but not the freebie files. That makes no sense why they work one day, don't work at all the next, and then "some" work another day.

[edit]: @ 4:31 a.m. I went to check if the links would work and oddly enough everyone of them are working now.

  • Maybe I'm missing something, but I get to the covers of the magazines, but can't find any buttons to page through them. Is the option to read online removed? Is downloading required?

Yes it is: http://issuu.com/philatdsc/docs/ds_creative_19 but you need to log in for this one (never had that before)

It's considered adult content (nudity in some pictures, I think), so you have to login.

  • Welcome to DS Creative Issue 19 the only magazine for DAZ Studio users

While we are happy for you to share the above link, please do not download the magazine and share elsewhere, DS Creative should only be available through www.Issuu.com

and yes as some may have noticed it got flagged, however we have followed all the rules so once its been reviewed by a admin it should be back to normal. But with the holidays and such not sure when that will happen.
And happy new years, may you all have lots of joy, adventures and art :)

...bugger, missed the last three issues as my workstation was not online and when I finally got the hardware I needed, things got hectic.  Most likely there were a lot of nice freebies I missed (especially December).

I don't know why I get  the "looping login" issue (where it lets me go through the log in routine after which I find I'm not logged in yet I receive no username/password error or anything like that) on the notebook but not the Workstation. Both have FF with the same extensions/plugins and both systems use the same AV suite.

I have to be able to get a PDF as trying to read someting in Flash makes me dizzy and nauseous (literally). When I'm on the Daz Store main page I have to scroll down until the rotating top banner is no longer visible as once it gets to the end, it rotates back to the start so fast it almost gives me vertigo..

The only thing I can think of is at one time there was a blocked cookie on the laptop...remove the cookies and the site from FF on the laptop and then redo the permissions/cookies/etc.  There are fairly simple ways of syncing/copying the profiles from one install of FF to another (I'd copy from the workstation to the laptop).

Kyoto why don't you try if the codes are still valid? I looked through all issues only two weeks back and got almost everything. There where some which explicitly mentioned a timeline but everything else was just fine

...I tried that, clearing the cache, etc, and it still will not work for some reason.

Good question - it downloaded for me - FF 43.0.1

  • These are very slick.  Thanks for the links!

  • I don't know if it's another browser issue for me (or colour issue for me) or a real issue, but there are conspicuously missing letters on pages 29 and 49.

  • SzarkSzark Posts: 10,634

issue 19 Richard? The page mode defualt for this mag is a double page spread.

  • Yes, but the double page spread lists two page numbers - these are both on the right of the spread, so odd page numbers. The one on page 29 reads "_UBSTANCE DESIGNER", the one across pages 48 and 49 reads "WAN_ED" when I view.

  • SzarkSzark Posts: 10,634

I don't get that in Adobe Acrobat DC

  • FistyFisty Posts: 3,416

I see the missing letters too, Richard...  viewing in Firefox 43.0.3
