what's the price for Stonemason's  Matinee FX if you are DAZ+ or Premier member ..do not include any membership coupons or tokens.

With the ten starter punches for premier it was, I think, $35ish - I've added tokens now. I don't know if taking out a new membership would nab the free punches though.

Yes, you would have the additional punches on (re)joining.

Yeah, no inticement to buy another subscription. There were 2 items I might buy in QG. The bundle, what's left, I already have most, are things I passed on before, Nothing in the $1.29 items I need. i have way too many characters already so the Mousa selection is out, the "debut" and still I had already passed on...so it might be a sale I pass on if it continues as is. I'm not about to buy an annual membership either.

    So, if I spend $0 today, do I lose 1 (or10!) punches?

Last year, punches accumulated throughout the month. You don't lose them, but you also don't get to get to the maximum discount if you miss too many days.

For anyone who anticipates playing the Advent calendar** game this December (assuming it 1. exists, and 2. works like last year), consider WL'ing anything that catches your eye from the daily free item selections. Experience has shown you need a critical mass of elilgible options on your WL before the code starts picking from there instead of the greater pool of all DO's in range (can't recall what that minimum number is... @joanna do you?) and it's always better to get a "meh, okay I suppose" option than a texture add-on for an outfit you think is awful.

(**and even if you don't plan on doing the Advent in particular, there are often free DO WL promotions, and if things have been offered as a free option once, it stands to reason it would happen again. So it still might be a good idea.)

I think last year it was at least 60-70 qualifying DOs on your wishlist (so warning to anyone planning: putting the newest G9 new releases won't help). Basically, enough to cover 2 items per day for a month. Here's the thread from the last year. I will be running it this year as well, but in Daz time, December still ways away, so no point in creating a thread until it's relevant. At the moment, the anniversary sale just started

This is exactly what I did last year, and I ended up seeing a lot of the same items pop up in my advent calendar. Great advice and thanks so much for the reminder! laugh

Quite welcome! Lots of stuff I still haven't leveled up enough to give useful help on, but reminders I can do!

How old do the items have to be? I'm fairly sure the calendar won't include items that are "new" but it might be even longer than the standard "new". I don't really know.

Nobody knows where the cutoff point is going to be, but last year, they were much older than the current year.
Everything we know from last year is in the thread I linked.

SilverGirl did some data crunching back in January, and here are the SKU ranges.

    Objective data:

    Free:

    • MSRP: $13.95 - $24.95
    • SKU: 20500-83990
    • Release dates (based on SKU readme files): 11/15/2014 - 12/15/2021

    Paid:

    • MSRP: $11.95 - $29.95 generally, with extremely rare sightings of $34.95 items
    • SKU: 51693-92596
    • Release dates (based on SKU readme files): 4/24/2018 - 11/30/2023

This is not indicative of what it will be this year, but it gives you a safe range to start building up. You can add items outside of this range, even newer ones, and they might be included (for example, if this year will include 2024 items too), but there are not guarantees.
The Wishlist thread was to gather data and help people prepare, not to predict or definitely state what Daz will or won't do.

Anyways, this is really a discussion for mid- to late November, and then early December when we have at least basic information on if there will be a calendar, and how it'll work. For now, all you have is the advice SilverGirl gave: if your wishlist is seriously lacking, you can start building it up based on the daily freebies selection as there's a chance some of those items might be included. It's just an advice for people who usually keep their wishlist very lean and struggle to suddenly add 60-80 DOs to it.

  • https://www.daz3d.com/elderwood-cathedral and the Daz monthly & weekly freebies are tempting me to buy a month of D+. Someone actually wanting the D+ free items - shocking and scary! But clothing is so seldom offered for this perk. I can't think of any in fact. And I would use both.

My Premier expired and I lost the 10 bonus punches. Re-upping the subscription restored them after a short delay. Just FYI that that's how it works!

Are the free gift with a punch items changing each day or are they the same items? (I wasn't eligible for a free item until today, so I haven't paid attention.)

So far, they are changing each day.

Daz+ members started with 5 punches (Premier started with 10) and we're getting one punch for each day we made a purchase over $1.

so I am basically missing a free item each day by not being DAZ+ or Premier?  Do the points subtract each day when you don't buy anything over $1?

There doesn't seem to be a system to remove punches, but I bought something everyday so far and would not see if one was in place.

If you wouldn't have bought the $1 or above item that allows you to get the 'free' item, it's not free.

'Splains why I have bought nothing this month. I may, just may, get an outlet item later this month I have my eye on. The sales are trying to get me to 'save' by spending more than I want and at the same time by making things complicated, so my response is normal for me: I stop buying and save more by not spending anything.

    Regards,

    Richard

If it works like last time the answer would be no: the qualifying puchases will count for the whole duration of the sale, so if you don't buy anything one day your points count doesn't change.

(Unlike the "punch card" sales where purchases count only for a few days)

No. It just means you won't get to bottom of the sales savings chart by the end of the month.

    Technically, yes.

In practical terms, with a $1.99 outlet (as a non member), someone could get one additional item for no additional cost each day for as long as the sale works as it does currently.

Can confirm that punches stay punched even if you don't purchase.

so what I'm reading here, as long as you have 1 punch, and it doesn't go away, you can choose a free item from the list given every day. The only problem for me, there is nothing in that product list I'm interested in, at least so far, but you never know down the road.

  • 3DSaga3DSaga Posts: 954

Hopefully the selection will get better; I passed on it today. Today just hasn't worked out for me in terms of purchasing. Only 2 items from my WL were included in the sale, and the final price wasn't tempting. For me the real deals are the OS and QG.

Yeah, I've seen a blank page every time I click on the links as, so far, I've already owned everything that's been offered.  They do offer a $3.00 off DAZ originals as a consolation prize, but as the deal excludes new releases/PC+/Outlet/FastGrab items, there are very few items I can find in the remaining D.O.s where that $3.00 discount is a better deal than what those items go on sale for normally.  So, as usual, it's a DAZ sale that doesn't do much for those who already have large libraries.

Indeed... There is nothing written that says punches reset if you don't buy anything; the only penalty is that it will take you longer to reach better discount tiers (which is only a de facto penalty if you are even interested in those). So, if you acquire a single punch, you'll be eligible for a free item as long as the sale lasts. (And Daz+ and Premier subscribers don't even need to buy anything since they started the sale already "punched.")

I agree that the free offerings haven't been that "awesome," but since it's free, I suggest just grabbing the best one (or the least worst) -- as you said, they may end up being useful down the road, so try to predict the path you're most likely to follow.

Well, the promo images seemed a bit cheeky! >.>

  • I did go ahead & buy Daz+ monthly Tuesday. Since then I have stuck to the daily freebies, as well as the current monthly/weekly D+ freebies. The new releases - by any name - aren't my thing. However, for daily freebias I got a G8F outfit I'd thought about before & a G8M outfit I'd never noticed. Plus the membership freebies. So far, that's 3 outfits & an accessory for under $10 (includes my state's tax). I think the D+ already paid for itself.

I also found a few other things in the free selections to WL in case there are repeats, they show up in OS/QG, or Daz does Advent calendar again.
