Small tip for better posing

Usually posing in DAZ studio works by rotating joints in the parameter tab or the posing gizmo.
In my experience, this is not enough, to have natural believable poses.
It is better to go into your "_your install_:\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis *x\Base" and edit the translation parameters. unlock the left and right collars and set limits to -1 and 1.
Do this for the x,y and z translations.
Unlock the z-translation for the chest low, the x-translation for the upper abdomen and z and x translation for the pelvis. Do not set limits past -1 and 1.
This give additional control over your joints and helps realistic posing.

Genesis 9 doesn't have these bones.
Genesis 9 does have these bone, they are just named differently.
Shoulder.
Masterstroke I am trying to follow up your tip for a better posing.
I had to make sure to copy the files into a directory structure just in case, as a way to backup.
Opened Notepad to do the changes.
collars L+R -1 and 1 X, Y and Z translations
Stopped further, because I can't find the chest low, upper abdomen.
I loaded the genesis 9 figure into the viewport, and explored the structure at the right pane. The pelvis is there, so it should be present in the file when doing the editing with Notepad isn't?
Can you please better specify how to do it properly?
Also I want to know if this procedure can be applied to the other figures: Genesis, Genesis 2, Genesis 3 and Genesis 8.
I ask this because I want to make sure I am doing the right way.
Thanks beforehand for your attention.
chest low and upper abdomen in G3/G8 are called spine3 and spine2 respectively in G9.
