Trying to make this armor shiny?

Hey people, so I bought this model an age ago. I want to make a little Diablo like pre-renderd game. Anyway, I'm trying to make this metal armor look shiny and... I can't seem to find any options for stuff like specular or other options I would use to make a chrom like texture. Any ideas what I'm dong wrong? I've included a pic of what I'm seeing. Is there a way for me to put a new material on something?

    The obvious choice would be to apply a shader that opens up those options.

    I know nothing about 3delight shader or any other RSL shaders but if you're rendering with Iray engine, you can convert the shader to Iray Uber Base and add some Metalicity and/or Metallic Flakes Weight to make the armor shiny.

    That's an old V4 product, so the materials provided are for Poser and 3DL, not Iray. This is why you don't see the same properties as in content made for Iray, the base shader used is a 3DL one and its properties are different (specular equivalent would be glossiness, for example).

    If you want to keep the texture files but adjust the settings for Iray, you can apply the base Iray Uber shader to the armor pieces (hold ctrl when applying the shader and tell it to keep the textures).

    If you just want a shiny metal armor, you can try applying one of the various metal Iray shader presets available. For example one of these could work (but there are many other packs available): https://www.daz3d.com/uber-iray-medieval-armor-shaders ;

    So I went and open the file up in DS 4.4, witch also has iRay and it has all the properties I would expect? Not sure if I broke something at some point or what. Maybe I should try reinstalling?

    DS 4.4? Regardless, you need to apply an Iray shader, as has already been said - you will not get the otpions you want with the 3Delight shader applied.
