[solved] IES profiles in DS

Hello!

Some time ago I found out that you can use IES profiles in DS-Iray emission surfaces. At that time I haven't really uses or tested it.

Today I came back to it, BUT found out: It doesn't work (not as expected). What I expected: When you use an IES profile, Daz takes this information (lumen, angles) from it instead of the Daz-own slider values. But this didn't happen.

So I tried some other IES (downloaded ones this time) but the result was the same: Daz' lumen, Daz' angle. Use '0' in the Daz slider didn't help.

So which switch do I have to turn? What did I  forget?

Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge do IES profiles in Daz Studio just determine the light profile, not the power (lumen or watt).

  • Ha! That's it! Thanks.

Two or three minutes after the test, it's very obvious: it would be far too difficult to change the lumen directly in the IES every time. Good solution doing this DAZ internally :)
