Wooden Hallway Interior

Wooden Hallway Interior | Daz 3D

This is nice except as soon as I saw it the boards looked wrong,. For this room to work, the joists would all run the length of the room. Floor joists run the short way for greater support. Thus making the room look odd. Might work for a horror scene though. Then the wrongness would add to the effect.

Should be an easy fix by rotating the texture files 90°. Although you may need to do a but of jiggery in Photoshop or similar to avoid streched proportions.

  • It's possible for floor joists to run parallel down the length of the hallway, with perpendicular support joists every few feet.  The bigger problem would be you'd need to have the joists about 1 foot apart, based on the pattern of the floorboards.

It depends on just how it is mapped, but if stretching was the only issue then adjusting the tiling values should help without needing to edit anything directly.
