How to get rid of white spots on hair?

I have "Warrior Wet Hair for Genesis 3 Male(s)" [ https://www.daz3d.com/warrior-wet-hair-for-genesis-3-male-s ] and the renders have white spots on the hair in various place. As a matter of fact, those white spots are even visible in the product previews ...

... is there some way to get rid of them or am I stuck with them?

    Turn down the glossiness and up the roughness of the hair surfaces. the "white spots" are intended to make the hair look wet and thus reflective.

    I find I have to do this with lots of hairs and clothing 

    reflectivity is often too high too

    I guess PAs love glossy fabrics 

    the default iray uber is too glossy especially applied to 3Delight shaders
