Video tutorial for products

My suggestion is to make mandatory for vendors to include Video tutorial for their products. I'm trying to use L4N4 but all the time I try to change the suit color I receive an error. "An error ocurred while reading the file. See the log for more details". Thanks to a video I learned where is the log file...  But no idea how to fix it. I did a research to find someone using this product but nothing.
ANy idea how to help me to learn more about this?

I really don't want a video for every pair of shoes I buy.

LOL ok lets do an exception for shoes and simple dresses and suits. But are other products that is hard to discover how to use it.

  • A tutorial on the product, wouldn't solve your problem, as this is an actual troubleshooting issue that requires a bit of understanding of the software to fix.

That error generaly indicates that you have the wrong thing selected in the scene tab.

In this case, however, the node's name is not the same for the figure and what the hierarchy is looking for.

To fix this, you need to edit lines 129674, for L4N4 Full Body Morph 1 Complete.duf and 127138 in L4N4 Full Body Morph 2 Complete.duf

The value for "Name" needs to be changed from "L4N4 Full Body Morph (1 or 2) Complete" to "Genesis8Female". in both files.

  • Wow... perfect instructions. Now, how can I edit lines ? or where are that lines located? Sorry my ignorance.

    They are in the files:

    • L4N4 Full Body Morph 1 Complete.duf
    • L4N4 Full Body Morph 2 Complete.duf

@DrunkMonkeyProductions has put which line numbers inside each of those files, and what the value needs to change from/to

You can use notepad++ to open and edit them

  • If you're not using notepad++, the specific lines will be under "Nodes", which you can use the search function(CTRL+F) in windows notepad to locate.

I'm confussed. When I edit the file in Notepad++ the line 129674 doesn't exist. The last line is 2353

That's a compressed file, hence why it's gibberish.

You can use a decompression utility, like 7zip, or decompress it from within studio.

In studio, use the "Batch convert" tab to decompress the file. You'll need to select "Add file" and navigate the explorer popout to the particular files, then press the "apply" button.

After this, when you open them in Notepad++ they'll look like regular text files and the line numbers will match.
