way to make these hazmat suits look wet?

I purchased this: http://www.daz3d.com/hazmat-suit-for-genesis-2-male-s

I was wanting to use them in a scenario where there is rain outside and the suits are wet but don't really know the way to do this. I prefer to use work in daz rather than postwork. Does anyone have any suggestions how to make these suits look wet somehow? I guess with adjusting the surfaces somehow.

I'd add a top coat to the materials (set Top Coat Weight above 0), change the method from Reflectivity to Fresnel, set IOR to 1.33, and Glossiness to .9 -1 (or Roughness from 0-.1, depending on shader type).

This effectively creates a thin layer that acts like water.

If you want droplets, you can add a bump map to the Top Coat.

Do you like to render with iray?

I don't render in DS, but pretty sure adjusting the specular and glossiness settings will give you what you want.

Water will react to the repellent surface of a fabric like that. You'd get some droplets, some runs and some areas where it clings. I would create a custom transparency map in Photoshop or Gimp for the droplets and more fully wet areas you'd want to see. Then I'd create a geoshell of the suit and apply the Thin Water Daz Uber shader (assuming you're using Iray). Then I'd apply the custom trans map and knock the transparency down from 100% until I get the effect I wanted, guessing around 40 - 50%.
