How do I install and keep Studio 4.24 along with Studio 6?!

I want to use 4.24 for older content. I also want to use Studio 6 for new content.
Is there a way to install 4.24 and keep DIM from upgrading the version?
I tried doing a Google and forum search and found nothing.

4.24 and 6 install completely separately, and afaik, they don't have it configured to where 4.24 will "update" to 6.
If you're using 4.24.03, there is an update to 4.24.0.4, which removes the 3delight render engine.
If you're still concerned, simply turning off "Install after download" will prevent an auto update, and require manuall install of products in DIM.
Be aware that since DS6 is a completely separate installation, it doesn't inherit the presets that you have configured in DS4. You will need to configure things like the Content Directory Manager to tell it where your Daz content is installed. You need to tell it for both Daz Formats and Poser Formats. If you had custom actions, or toolbars, or menus, or custom keyboard shortcuts, or custom layout, those do not come over from DS4 either. Also, be sure to enter your authorship data in Preferences. So, you can see that there is some initial configuration that will take some time to setup properly. The less customized your DS4 is, the easier this will be.
Thanks for the replies.
I want the ability to use 3Delight and the Generation 4 content, etc.
I don't want to lose that functionality. I don't want DIM to take away that functionality.
I ran into that problem awhile ago.
I don't have any scripts, or other fancy stuff. So I won't be losing out on that end.
I apologize, I get lost on version numbers once you get past the "doublt dot" digits (4.24 etc)

Barbult, I love your story!
Ron,
Make sure that you protect your install files for Daz Studio 4.24.0.3 at all costs if you do not want to lose the ability to use the 3Delight render engine. Have a backup copy of the install files and then another backup copy on a different drive.
