To what? Are you wanting to be able to see through the gaps or do you just want a starscape texture?
I'd love to see a shader that does the Captain Marvel "cosmic" effect, where shadows show a starfield effect. Not sure if that's even possible in Iray though
These are not shaders, but include HDRIs and VDBs which might give the effect you are looking for:
