DAZ 6 can't use aniblocks?

Greetings!

I have several aniblocks that worked fine with DAZ 4, but now that it's "upgraded" to 6, not only are the menu buttons so tiny you can't hardly click them, but every aniblock I try to load gives me an error!

Do I need to do something to get them to work, or does version 6 just not allow them?

AniMate is not (yet) available for DS 6, it is not developed in-house or owned by Daz (even though the Lite version is dundled) so like most third-party plug-ins it had to wait for the DS 6 SDK, and will then be up to the developer's willingness to update and the terms under which they may do so.

Was wondering the same thing. Hope they update it.

Ah. I was wondering if it was something like that. Basically, I'm glad it's not an official thing removed from the program.

  • GoFigure hasn't released anything in the store for many years, their website gofigure3d.com is no longer accessible. I wouldn't count on Animate2/Aniblocks ever being updated to work in DS6. Probably the best bet is to just open your Aniblocks in DS4, bake them to the timeline and then save them as animated pose presets for use in DS6.

However Animate 2 is not listed in the retired technologies for DS6. If it doesn't work it should.

It's not retired by Daz but that doesn't mean it is supposed to work as is. Every single plugin needs to be updated in order to work with DS6, the DS4 version can't be used by DS6.
Animate is a 3rd party plugin so they would be the ones who decide whether it will be updated or retired, not Daz.
