I was wondering where it went
Silly question. How do I get the mane and tail to lay down? Its standing straight up and down and I can't find any way to get it to lay down. Arghh!!!! I can't get any of the textures to apply either. I am new but not THAT new. Is there something specific that I need to do differently?
Edited to say, I got the pinto textures to work. Is it not possible to use the quarterhorse mane on the pinto? Or vice versa?
Studio or Poser?
In DS for the tail the poses are in the main body of the Horse, select the Horse and search tail and you wil find the poses to pose the tail.
All the textures should work on the horse make sure you have the horse selected for the body textures, the mane for the mane, the tail for the tail and the fetlocks for them.
I use to throw a pose on it, you'd probably want to do that anyway in most cases. Don't recall though if any are included with the base horse.
I checked hivewire and for those who want the toon horse, check out the toon horse value stack to get the original horse, poses, and toon horse. The stack is on sale.

I haven[t had time to mess around with it again but I appreciate the responses so far and will try again as soon as I get a chance
Beta Hivewire forums are going but it's beta so you will have to wait till they truly go live but they are coming along!
Woo-hoo!
Er. No. I've still got the 'Back Soon' message. Even after refreshing. (Did they import DAZ Soon?)
Sorry - they are NOT up yet - we are beta testing, so please do NOT pm Wolffie for a link :)
So sorry to hear this...I'm really missing my fix.
There's a very detailed video on posing the mane and tail out on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZqI2vmDWaE&list=WL&index=40
That's a great video done by CWRW3D who made most of the great texture sets over at Hivewire. She also had a lot of input into the development of the Harry. If you get chance you should check out her art as it's just amazing.
I tried several times to create an account over at Hivewire3D but everytime I hit the submit button it just takes me right back to an unfilled-in create account page. So, I can't get anything over there.
On the Hivewire site at the bottom-right side is a link title: Get Support.
Yep, I already filed a support request; but it is the weekend so I don't expect to hear back until at least Monday or maybe later.
Charlie - send me a pm, please, with your name and email address. I'll set up an account for you right away :).
Alisa - PM sent
Email sent :)
Hey, Sonja, and others who have the Hivewire horse, go grab their new rocking horse for the hivewire horse. It is really cute and currently free. Looks pretty good, but I haven't tried rendering it yet.
Loads into Carrara but needs adjustments.. The rocker needs resizing and the mane morphs don't load so it need to be deleted and the mane loaded again seperately..
Thanks Hivewire ;-)
Aww, cute :). On behalf of all of us, you're welcome :)
Very cute Stezza...
How do the DH2 outfit/armor fit to Harry?
Do they work?
Very cute. Is the squirrel a model or did you postwork him in? I love that guy!!!
Thank you for the video links! I will be off work for ten days over Christmas and am looking forward to getting some of my ideas done. the videos will certainly help
And I did grab that super cute rocking horse lol. I think it would work well as a childs riding toy as well.
I'm torn because i love both horses in dif ways, and i do LAMH mane and tail for the Daz horse 2, but had so much fun doing HW horse pics too... Green forest horse is Daz Horse 2 with LAMH for mane and tail (even the 'horns' are made using LAMH) The second pic is the Hivewire horse.
ignore, i messed up :P
