How do you save a pose?

I've created a pose but how do I save it?

If it's for a specific character you can save it as a subset, other than that, I've not figured out yet.

You want to save a Pose Preset if it's just a figure's pose or a Hierarchical Pose Preset if you posed a figure + smart Prop(s) ~

That is, File>Save As>Pose Preset or File>Save As>Hierarchical Pose Preset. There will be an options dialogue allowing you to be selective about what you include, if you wish (e.g. exclude the figure node so you can use the preset in combination with figures in different positions in the scene)..

When you save a pose a box will pop up asking you where you want to save it. You can locate it in the same place as you specified. You will need to use the Content Library, not Smart Content.

It should appar in Smart Content, and you can then use the right-click View Asset in or Browse to File location to locate it on disc if desired.

For me, the poses end up in Daz3D Library/Presets/Poses. (It's helpful to center the posed figure in the viewport when saving, because that's the default thumbnail).

you can save it wherever you want actually so long as it's in a folder or hierarchical folder added to as a content library under preferences

I have them all over my PC and externals cheeky

Might be a good question to drop here, but is there some script or utility that allows for quick pose creation. What i find frustrating in Pose Preset is that by default it saves EVERYTHING, including some morphs, coordinates and more. This forces me to go thorough painful and slow process of unchecking what i dont want and in 99% of cases i just want the bone positions and nothing else.

You can just make it by : click that "hamburger" menu in Pose Preset Options dialogue > Check Only > Check All Transforms Only so as to just save bone positions and rotations. Then the pose preset can be quickly loaded.
