Problem with this character's eyes

I've been working with this character for more than 2,000 renders, and I'm tired of dealing with this issue, which doesn't always happen.  Look at his eyes—how can I fix this?

Sometimes it's easy to hide when he's looking straight ahead, and I can work around it with shadows and post-production, but it's really annoying. I've been messing around with the M2F-Eyes Inner parameter, but it only helps a little. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

How far off from world center is the character? This might be the eye bug that occurs when characters are far away from world center.

The common cause is that the figure is very far from the world center, check it X Translate and Z Translate, if they're > appr. 3500 ~ 4000 ~

If that's the case, you may try : with NVIDIA Iray preview drawstyle in Viewport, go to Render Settings pane, Editor tab > Optimization, there's slot: Instancing Optimization, switch Memory and Speed option, see if that "black spot in eyes" goes ~~

Or, moving the whole scene to the world center can also fix the issue.

Other causes: 1) clipping issue in between geometry of eye surfaces; 2) clipping issue comes from hair cap geometry ~~ The issue you have seems not coming from these causes.

  • I remember that world-center bug because it was one of the very first issues I encountered. However, that's not the case here. In the last scene, for example, he's really close to the center and still has these things in his eyes.

I really believe it's part of the mesh, but I don't know how to minimize their appearance. Maybe I need to edit the mesh in ZBrush or something... frown

If so, check if there's any cliping issue on the surfaces of Cornea and Sclera, try dialing Eyes Cornea Bulge property if it's G8M, see if that helps.

Yes, this sort of issue can be fixed in Zbrush, Blender or by using Mesh Grabber.
