Leather Fantasy Armor for Genesis 2 Female(s) - floating studs?

I've had this outfit for a while, but I've only actually noticed this and wondering if anyone knows of a fix for it?

The studs on the corset 'belt' are actually floating in mid-air, not attached to the belt. It's not that noticeable from the front, but you can clearly see it from the back (see attached screenshot)
Has anyone found a way to rectifiy this?

Check to see if there's been an update - I'm not seeing this on the zeroed item.
No, no update in my DIM. Checked the readme page too - there's a pdf readme but it's solely for Reality use.
I did locate a thread for Shifting Images' Bandit outfit which seemed ot have the same problem - but the fixes mentioned in there don't apply to this one.
I did attach an image to my first post but I can't see it now....
I can see the imaeg OK. It's the corset, yes? Does the issue show on load, or only after a morph or pose is applied?
Loaded the full set and tried a selection of poses and morphs, still can't reproduce the effect.
That looks like the result of a rigidity map on a custom morph, try removing the rigid map from weightmaps and clear generated morphs from the figure - maybe that will fix it.
I haave the same problem, I just bought that set so definatly have the latest version, also on mine the ornaments on the front of the bustier are under the leather instead of ontop and the large studs on the hip are floating
I tried loading the outfit to a blank standard G2F figure and the outfit was OK I then applied a character bodyshape preset I made for my character (minus skin etc) and then the outfit gets the flaoting parts. So I guess it has something to do with body shape morphs. I have no idea waht Mada is talking about or how to fix that so has anyone got a clue what to do?
Hmmm intesting, I was looking at my character and for some reason all the sliders for shaping etc are under the Parameters tab and not under the Shaping tab....
That is not a problem and won't affect anything...it's just how they were saved. You need working Smart Content, I believe, in order to have them also show in the Shaping tab. The default position is Parameters.
Yeah I just made a list of all the morphs I used to create my character and put them in manually on a new base G2F figure and I still get the same problem wit hthe floating parts
OK right I loaded a new G2F figure, then added the outfit and everything looks OK, then I started adjusting the shaping sliders one by one and I know which shape morph is producing the affect, it is the Cara HD body shape! Thats a shame, I guess I'll just have to use a different body shape and or combo of various shaping mophs, pitty as I like the Gara shape very much and is perfect for the character. At least I found the problem
Seems other shapes even head shapes are affecting this outfit, I dont wantto be limited to what I can do wit hthis outfit so I will probably try to get my money back and delete it, shame really as its a really nice outfit
I saw a question on this in the Commons forum that I tagged onto but havent got anywhere there so maybe here is a better place to ask.
I have flaoting parts of the outfit when shaping morphs are applied with the shaping sliders. The costume looks fine on a standard G2 female with the standard shape morphs but if I use shaping morphs from other G2F characters thats when things go wrong. For example if I start applying Cara HD body shape you can see the floating parts floating as as I move the shaping slider. It does the same thing if I am using head shape sliders as well.
I was going to redo my character but there were too many morphs affecting this outfit that I would have to seriously compromise my character shape which I dont want to do (besides that I paid for an item that doesnt work at the end of the day) I've not had this problem before.
I'd really like to find a solution to this problem as its a great outfit and perfect for my character but if I cant resolve this issue I'm going to has to try for a refund which I'd rather not do, so any help would be greatly appraciated

Ah I understand,, then I remember the product have really many morphs to tweaking and adjust each part shape.
Could not you find it from offered morphs, to adjust floating part well ?
And you no need to correct your character shape.
I often use customize my character only. then I often see same problem but I understand, vendor can not offer auto-morphs for all character.
and manytimes, auto-followed morph corrupt detail ( then should happen about these armor product witch need rigid detail,
or the shape corrupt, even if it can follow character morphed shape.
I do not know which morph you used, but you can check, which morph are should wrok well, by product page.
eg about
Leather Armor Corset
these morphs are vendor offered morphs to auto-overwrite generated morph, to fit well. then you can expect, the clothing work well
if you use these character and mix (basically, not expected perfect ^^;) but can not support all morphs.
Yes I know it often cause frastration, and disapointted,
but at least the product have offered with so-many morphs, to keep good shape .
then mu suggestion is, try to correct it by your original morph (use blender or hexagon etc,, )
to fit your character shape. Yes you can do it !!! and if you learn it , you can easy remove meny problems.
you must see these problems again and again,, , if you keep to get 3d clothing for 3d actor,
there is many case,, the shape can not fit well for your actor, without you originall making morph.
And,, actually the product is really good product I think.. (do not need compare with others,, but I do not think
to refund it,, even though it can not fit well without tweaking, not recommend any one.)
I find these floating part was set rigidity map. but have not set any rigidity map reference.with colored weight map.
I think if you can set rigidity map reference, and set rigidity scale for each axis, it may reduce problem. without making original morphs for your character shape.
but it seems somehow over work for user. Did you send report ? I feel, if shifting image find it, he must reply answer, and may try to correct it.
(I edited, there is reference , but it seems not set to work well, and not colored any weight about reference part.
then rigidity part are colored by 100% weight , then it should float ,when actor morph applied)
Merged threads, please don't start a new thread on a topic that already exists.
It does seem this is a rigidity map issue, so try kitakoredaz suggestion of setting a reference polygon or simply remove the rigidity groups.
I have no idea what that is let alone how to fix it, can you point me towards any tutorials?
+1
i have a g2m outfit with rivets. think it was bandit outfit.
OK. any way, I confirm the product rigidity map is not well made. (sorry)
I could reduce problem to adjust rigidity map, not colored with 100% floating part only. though it is not best solution work for all morphs,
at least, floating part need more joint part , and they group need to be in same rgidity parcitypants.
and it should not business of user. I can help a little. but it should be corrected by vendor I think.
=============
the modifed backle part, was just colored about backle (metal) only, it should cause problem.
and,, to check rigidity map modify,, I need to save figure again and again,,, was there way to easy up-date the rigidity map modify,,
I felt it were,, ^^;; I really frastrate to tweak rigidity map now ...(though I hoped to tweak it ^^; I go bed now!)
And And,,
And why the weight dot for vertex need to so big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it simply cause trouble to check and select vertex, I set it minimum as 1 but , it still so big dot.,, it should be reported as problem which must be corrected. how many report actually DAZ need ? then DAZ said it product ver etc,, it seems funny
then yes,, as richard said,, I prefer to remove all rigidity map for easy solution. but it should cause another problem.
because morphs vendor provide are already made with default ridigity map shape. then my tweak actually not fit
when I use each character.. or need to remake all morphs for characters. (why user need to correct it ^^;)
Has anyone yet opened a ticket on this?
about product? I do not know. I may hope to try correct it for studying. but not recommend other user . (then about product, we have no way to check which tickt is opened or not.
I like his product , then remember shifting image up-dated other product before with two type morphs. . maybe to ask him seems best. I think there is reason, he colored rigidity so,, then hope to ask it too.
And I said mistake,, (last night is too sleepy already ^^;) the rigidity map defomation maybe simply be overwritten by vendor offered character morph, then may not cause problem about these shape.
then as Richard said, maybe simple way is just remove all rigidity map to stop floating anyway. (though some auto-followed morph (typically user-made) should cause problem, then change detail.
rigidity map is useful (even though it is floating) to make character morph for clothing (to overwrite auto-follow morph) then I feel, if shifting image color ridigity map like that, then plan to offer character morphs)
About selected Dot problem, I do not know, it was reported or not. I will report it, after I get other report reply, ( thanks giving holiday?)
I believe the G2M Bandit Outfit had the same problem, with floating rivets/studs. I THINK the vendor added a fix - I can't quite recall. I have that outfit also, and I'm sure I applied the fix - was it a new morph or something? Arrgh, can't remember. But yeah, I still get it with this outfit.
I've run into this problem creating outfits not from the morph rigidity map but from trying to maintain the object's shape when movement is applied to the model. Sometimes I just end up making morphs for the clothing that puts the objects where they're supposed to be. You might check to see if such morphs exist on the product. It's a pain in the ass because currently Daz Studio doesn't offer true rigidity so it's always a tricky thing for manufacturers to make outfits where things like buttons and studs and buckles truly maintain their proper shape.
