The water consists of two self made terrains with my own water material. The coast is a self made terrain with a material from High Resolution Terrains 4 and the ship is the HMS Victory. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Gritstone Hills and the key light by the sun.A sailing ship along a coast with red rocks.
Horo, NGartplay, mermaid010, Electro-Elvis, thanks for the nice comments.
You keep posting amazing landscape renders, Horo. I specifically like the one of July 4th, but the others are great too. And the one with the thunderstorm nicely shows the lightbolts. Thanks for the zip.
Very nice landscape, mermaid010,
Your thunderstorm looks amazing, Electro-Elvis, even if you do not like the lightbolt very much. The terrain is also great and I like the addition of the plant in the foreground.
Two beautiful seascape Horo, as usual amazing work.
Hansmar -thanks
Thank you Hansmar and mermaid.
The terrain was self made and given a material from High Resolution Terrains 1. Ambient light by the WhiteSphereB7 HDRI and the key light by the sun. A slanted view from above over a rocky desert landscape.
Very nice rocky desert landscape Horo.
Thank you mermaid.
Nice rocky work, Horo.
Thank you Hansmar.
Three self made terrains with an adjusted material from Gritstone Hills. The clouds are by the CloudSphere11 and the ambient light by the belonging SkySC11 HDRI from the Sky Toolbox Expansion 1. The key light by the sun.
Another amazing landscape, Horo awesome atmosphere.
A re-render of the tugboat image based on Electro-Elvis's comment. Thanks Elvis
Love that lightning strikes. Thanks for the zip Horo.
Lovely landscapes Elvis, mermaid and Horo.
mermaid - thank you. Your tugboat scene looks great.
NGartplay - thank you.
Thanks Horo and NGartplay
Fantastic landscape, Horo.
Still very good scene, mermaid010. Perhaps even a bit better with a bit smaller boat now.
Two different scenes now, one from a different viewpoint (and change in position of the boat) and with different sky/lighting. This one is with the 'Walden mill' set that was free at DAZ recently. I did change most of the textures towards procedural ones to keep the weight of the scene low enough. That was quite a task, but I also grouped elements into groups so I can retexture groups at once. The boat is a freebie at Renderosity. The terrains are instances of the Plateau terrain by David/Horo. Skies are some that came with Bryce or I got later.
The third render also contains a set that was free recently at DAZ: Aradior point. I added several instances of the Terraces terrain from the same set as the Plateau terrain, but slightly modified. The lady is Genesis 3 female with a 'Marionette' clothing set and the Troll is a character made from Genesis 3 male. Because the Genesis figures take a lot of memory, I again changed some textures on the building to procedural ones.
Hansmar - thank you. You made three very nice renders. My favorite is the first.
Hansmar - three llovely scenes, thanks for the comment.
I don’t know if I shared this one before. A simple scene using one of David cloudscape from Cloudscapes 6. The ducks are freebies.
mermaid - thank you. Lovely scene, I do not remember having this quite realistic looking scene seen before.
The object at left, and at right an instance, is the Alien Artefact013 from Alien Artifacts Vol1 by MatCreator with the material (Pro Materials Tau_davidbrinnen) considerably modified. They stand on a Fading Disk with my own material. Light and colour by the unpublished Rainbow3_LLx2 HDRI and some light and specular by the sun.
Beautifully presented objects Horo. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you mermaid.
I rendered the Alien Objects above as an Anaglyph. I had to change the background, colours and light, the rest is the same.
Thank you for your kind comment, Hansmar Three lovely scenes. I also prefer the first one. It has a nice DOF effect.
Thank you NGartplay
Thanks that you considered my comment mermaid010. IMHO Now the boat of the new size fits into the scene perfectly. The scene with the ducks looks great. That is truly an amazing cloudscape.
More fantastic landscapes Horo. My favourite is the rocky desert landscape. I love the texture you used.
I used a high resolution HDRI for my scene. The Mercedes is a free model from free3d.com created by storque12. The model is really nicely done and grouped. Sometimes you find models where you can select the whole car only. In this case retexturing isn't possible anymore, what I did a lot here.
I couldn’t quite remember off the top of my head how to create a suitable shadow for an added object – in this case, the car – in a scene using an HDRI (I know there’s a tutorial by David Brinnen, but I was a bit too lazy to look for it). So I copied the car model, flattened it out completely, then coloured all the parts dark grey and placed it under the Mercedes as its ‘shadow’.
Light comes from an Dome Light.
Thanks, Horo and mermaid.
Wonderful scene, mermaid! Can't remember seeing it before.
Very nicely presented alien bugs, Horo.
Horo: The city with the passing ship looks great; the other one with the industries also turned out well, and I like the sky; the pond with the waterfall is fantastic; excellent use of a real image of the Moon applied to a Bryce landscape; the image of the balloon is perfect as a cover photo for a tourism company; the valley resembles those I've seen in the north of my country; the ship in a stormy sea is very well done, and the next scene is too; the rocky desert looks very dry and is like some of the places I've ridden my bike in; your alien microbes always give me the creeps, and I hope I never meet them.
mermaid010: The layered landscape and the eagle look very peaceful, inviting you to rest; the tugboat scene has very good reflections and clouds (when I visited the south of my country, I saw landscapes like that); your image with the ducks is very realistic.
Hansmar: Your schoolgirl scene reminds me of my sister giving me orders (and me obeying, of course); the two abstract pieces are like gems backlit; the trio of images turned out well (I like the second one best).
Electro-Elvis: Your scene with the lightning is very good; the blurring of the nearby plants gives it a touch of realism (I also want to achieve a good lightning effect, but I can't seem to get it right); the car turned out well, I think in the end, what matters is the result, regardless of the method used.
I'm struggling with an image that's taking forever to create, so I think I'll leave my mini-PC running all night for the final version.
Greetings to all.
Electro-Elvis - Thank you. Nice depiction of the Mercedes in this town. There is a Shadow Capture that comes with Hyper Textures Expansion that is transparent but captures the shadows, which is helpful if you pose an object in an HDRI scene - or can put on a wall if the HDRI shows the inside of a room. However, your result is also very good.
Hansmar - thank you.
Teobaldo - thank you.
nicely done ~ all of you guys
Horo --awesome anaglyph
Thanks Electro-Elvis. The car is beautifully presented against the Hdri background, the shadow looks great.
Thanks Hansmar, Teobaldo and ed3D for the comments.
Thank you Teobaldo, Horo, ed3D, mermaid010
Thank you ed3D and mermaid.
The terrain was self made and given a material from High Resolution Terrains 2 and Landscapes under Fantastic Skies. Sky and ambient light by an unpublished HDRI and the key light by the sun. A hillscape before the rain.
