New products old DS

Can we use new products in DS 4.24? I know in the past that newer product files wouldn't work in older versions

    Otherr that plug-ins and scripts might be a crap shoot, afaik, there wasn't any major change with DS6 to make anything else incompatible.

    Nowadays a new product should always work in DS 4.2x unless it says it's only compatible with DS 6.x on its product page ~~

    At some point I am sure there will be DS 6 featuers thata re not supported in DS 4, but not yet - and even when there are the I would broadly expect scenes/items that didn't use the new features to open based on how the format is sdesigned (but no guarantees, of course).
