assigned Keyboard Shortcuts not working in Version 6

Why do some assigned keyboard shortcuts not work in any Version of DS 6?
For example, I've assigned shortcuts to: update base geometry, save material presets, restore figure pose, export and ALL of them are working the first time I try them and after that they do NOT anymore. Also after reloading Studio they do not work but I see that they are assigned.

They always worked in the other versions of Studio but not in version 6. First I thought that it might be the case in the public and publishing build but it is in the now released "final" version too.

    I am having the exact same problem. Upon investigating, they seem to work only as "context sensitive" shortcuts, which is completely unrealistic, uninituitive, and not user friendly at all. In order for me to get them to work EVERY time I need them, I must be active in the Viewport pane. I need to Orbit, Pan, or Zoom in the viewport, making sure I don't accidentally unselect what I am trying to save out, in order for my shortcuts to work. Oy vey!! How dumb!!!

    Extremely frustrating, unintuitive, workflow halting, clunky, and IMO a huge app breaking bug. : (

    I hope it gets fixed.

    Well, I couldn't reproduce the issue so far... all my defined shortcuts work as expected in DS6.

    Any combination of keys or specific senario as an example ?

  • well, I assigned Y for updating base geometry, F for restoring figure pose for example (did that in all versions of 4.... and they worked). As I mentioned they work one time and after that, they do not. I have no fancy shortcuts - just the same as I always used.

    I too hope it get fixed.
