Hi! Yes! They’re almost ready…
A private beta tester (whom I will never be able to thank enough) agreed to test the HUNDREDS of per-product configurations across all the Wet skins, on BOTH Daz versions (DS4/DS6). I honestly hope he won’t end up needing carpal tunnel surgery… ;) So far he “only” complained about a click-finger tendonitis. I feel guilty… ;(
And yes... I also need to reply to his latest email… I swear, dear tester, I’ll do it this weekend!!
But anyway: huge thanks to him. Only a few rare, minor issues were reported, so yes : as of today we do have real bi-compatibility (DS4/6)… well… as soon as the DS6 version of the product is actually “submittable”… and submitted…
Hello, did you add ds6 support? I am confused.
It sounds as if it is done. The delay could be due to a very busy QA.
@ekaratas20, @DoctorJellybean
Sorry, I should have been clearer.
DS6 support is implemented and has been beta-tested by "private" (not Daz) beta testers (the final challenge was to find beta testers), but the updates have not been submitted to Daz yet.
Since the public/release version of DS6 has only just been released, I still need to check with Daz whether we have the green light to submit DS6-compatible product updates now.
I also need to go through the latest beta testers feedback, product by product, with huge thanks to those beta testers who had the courage to review hundreds of scripts/configurations per product, across both DS4 and DS6. From what I have seen so far, the remaining points are minor details, such as naming conventions or product-specific cleanup, not major compatibility problems.
So, in practice: yes, the DS4/DS6-compatible versions are basically ready on my side - all scripts and shaders work -, but they still need (my) final review, Daz submission, QA, and then store release before users can download them.
Once I have the green light and the last small corrections are sorted, I plan to submit the Wet and Tanned Skins updates for all my supported generations through the years.
