Sorry, I don't know, but it looks like a men's underwear or leisure set. There are many of them here. It's certainly not a soccer jersey - the pants are too short and a bit too tight for that.

Honnestly it looks like a basic Tshirt and boxers to me.

The boots are not proper football boots either, just some random pair of sneakers, of which there are many in the store.

  • Not a sports person, but would the shoes for this American football uniform be closer to proper soccer footwear than random sneakers/trainers?

Not necessarily.  My highschool stadium had astro turf and I wore Adidas Gazelle's and Samba Classic's;  which are indoor Soccer (Real Football) shoes/boots (well just comfy too for casual wear), because cleats were not allow on the turf.  They were primarily for our winter Indoor Soccer 6v6 seasons which that "turf" was more like playing on carpet then astro turf.  Even our American football players also could not wear cleats on our astro turf, so it was always kinda of funny to see visitng Soccer and American football teams players putting on tennis shoes (some times even high tops...) to play on it lol.  I do agree it is not standard Soccer/Real Football wear for sure, but there are always exceptions, and that "Grass" in the promo does look more like turf then grass to me.

Many years ago when I played 5-a-side football indoor, we naturally wore shoes not that disimilar to the ones in the promo. However in the promo the character appears to be on a full sized grass pitch (though I agree the grass looks somewhat false, but then textured grass always looks off), and normally one would wear boots with studs for this, assuming you don't want to sliding around all the time.

With proper football (ie soccer) boots, the studs would likely be longer than the ones in this set. Do American football stadiums use real grass?

NFL stadiums are evenly split between real grass and astroturf. 25 of 30 MLB stadiums are real grass.

The NFL bans metal cleats. MLB players mostly use metal cleats. No idea what is common in world football.

Metal cleats are allowed by FIFA. But they are not always used. Is common that some time before each match the players make exersises in the field that also serve to see the state of the grass and then decide witch type to use.
