Good question, So much of Studio's capailities resides in DS4 an are not (at least yet) supported in Studio six
The latest version of DS4 will remain available for download, but there won't be any new versions.
I would guess that new plugins, scripts etc. will only be written to work with Studio 6. That's not to say that none of them will work in 4, but it won't be guaranteed.
Of course a lot of plugins and scripts that you currently have, and that are currently sold in the store, only work in 4, so you might be running the two versions in parallel for a while.
Haven't thought of new plugins/scripts yet. So this leaves us with two ecosystems where one will start crumbling soon and one will have holes either by plugins and scripts not ported because the PAs won't or are not around anymore or are behind a subscription barrier. Plus 6 is still having issues like viewport lag and to me doesn't bring any significant improvement that justify Premier or even commitment to 6.
