Old School Hollow Book
I'd love a "proper" Hollow Book. Closed, it looks normal. Open it and there's a box shaped hole inside. The perfect place to hide a MacGuffin for a spy.
Sufficient, it just lays there flat. Best case, it's rigged to open and close.

Do you know about this one?

I apparently own that and never even knew it existed
I have so much stuff
(sorry OP, my post no help to you unless you too own it like me)
No, but it isn't what I want either. Google (and switch to images tab): secret object inside a hollowed out book
I want to see cut up interior pages looking like a cubby hole. Apparently a lot of Etsy folks craft these kinds of things based on the search result.
Something like this?
I actually have one of those I hide my phone in
but the one wanted by jmucchiello is a real book with the actual pages hollowed out, probably with a Stanley knife in the shape of the thing it's hiding
Exactly, though I'd call it Exacto, which as an American, I am "unaware" is brand name like Kleenex (facial tissue) and Scotch (transparent tape). I noticed in the Google search aboce there are entire YouTube videos about hollowing out a book. And I hadn't realized how popular it was to hollow out bibles.
You'd be amazed to find out what was hidden in bibles during WW2.
Oh, I just noticed. It doesn't have to be a custom fit opening. I just want the pages to look cut. It should look like a DIY project. Not something you might buy in a (novelty?) store.
