Yeah, I'd love to know too. I'm hesitant to install 6 only to learn most of my plugins don't work and I can't go back.

The jump to 6 is because this version of DS is based on Qt6 (there's an explanation of versioning here)

Daz did work on a DS5 previously but that was never released to the public.

There's nothing special to do, DS6 doesn't replace DS4 but installs alongside it, like the beta vs general release did. You just need to define its install path in DIM settings.

I'm not even wasting my time for awhile, until all the bugs and whatever are worked out and its stable and can be used. So far, on the limited chat available, it doesn't appear to be anything I need.

Both can work as seperate installs. I still have daz4, as I installed daz6 earlier tonight.

    Thanks @Leana and @PlainSimpleJoel.

I plan to install Daz Studio 6 as soon as possible.

Just one thing to note once you installed it: it has its own settings, so if you have custom paths for your content directories you will need to set them in DS6 preferences.

Can we please get some clarification as to what Daz3D means by "Free to download & try"? Is DS6 a free trial? Are we going to have to pay for continued use?

Nothing has changed, as I recall there was similar wording causign similar concerns on a previous occasion.
