Navigating the Surfaces pane with keyboard also moves the assets

In DS 4.24 on Windows 11, if I select multiple objects in the Scene tab (for example, a character and all of their clothing and accessories), then switch to the Surfaces tab and try to navigate through the surfaces using the arrow keys on my keyboard, the asset also rotates or translates. Is it possible to navigate through the properties/entries in a pane like Surfaces without also editing the asset's position/orientation?

Perhaps I should mention that the reason I need to do this, instead of just selecting with the mouse, is that I need to hunt down some non-Iray surfaces and RSSY's 3DL to Iray converter doesn't give me enough information to find the relevant surfaces (e.g., when mulitple G8 figures have surfaces with the same name). I can click through with the mouse, but keyboard navigation is much faster.

Edit>View>Keyboard Navigation should be off (shift k toggles it).

I tried that multiple times and there was still no change. Note that the keys weren't moving the viewport; they were rotating/translating the (parent) asset.

Which tool is active? I can't reproduce the effect, if I am following the description correctly.

All assets or just some assets?

Ohhh ... turns out I had FlexiKeys enabled.

I was asking about some assets specifically because of FlexiKeys. It's a useful tool but it isn't perfectly context aware.
