It did switch early. Seems like that's the new normal.

Now that I know to expect it, I like it that way. A little something fun to end Sunday night. :)

(Granted this week I had everything I was interested in again, but at least I'm not wondering!)

I've put in a grumpy ticket, complaining that there were things I was unable to buy.

From a practical perspective, I like to wishlist QC and Outlet items at the start of their duration, so then I can put them into carts to help round them up to thresholds and maximise my tokens. I would then normally go in to any leftovers and clear them up on the last day; they're themselves largely immune to cart stacking shenanigans, so spreading them out over the week to help out other carts was in theory a good strategy.

At least until they broke things like this. It's far more of a nuisance to have the sale end at an unpredictable time than it was to have it start a bit late on a Monday.

While I get that it's not what suits you and your shopping ways, I'd argue that now the end is actually quite predictable. Third week in a row at exactly the same time. I can't remember the last time it was so regular. ;)

I ended up getting what I wanted Saturday night. I remembered it would change Sunday but not sure how early.

  • 1. Thinking about getting Wukong 9 from the new QG selection. If anyone owns Wukong, what do you think of him?

    2. OS has partially changed. There's several Stonemason sets now.

From what I can see, OS did not change at all. Those Stonemason sets have been there since the beginning of the month.

OS usually changes at the end of the month, it's QG that usually changes weekly. This week MSO Fate is available. I do and I don't want her. On the 'Do' side: She's beautiful, a Mousso character, in G9 and I don't have many nice G9 characters. And she's at a good price. Against.. the last time I used G9 for a render (rather than a freebie promo) was August 2023. I have so many characters I don't use in generations I do render already that it seems ridiculous, from V3 (last render April 2026) to G8 (last render May 2026). I think I shall reluctantly pass this time. Regards, Richard.

    QG has refreshed!

OS still the same so far.

    Thanks for the heads-up!

Really cool stuff in QG this week: Stonemason, ISource Textures, bluejaunte...

    OS also refreshed for June.

Not as good as last month for my case, but still interesting selections on both QG and OS. At the very least, decent fillers/token maker stuf.

i can pick up several items I skim over for awhile that I like but usually too expensive.

  • Friendly reminder for those who are new to Outlet & Quick Grab: Most prices haven't dropped on the OS/QG pages yet. However, they will be correct in the cart.

And I lucked out. Something I already had carted is now 99¢!

Not all items featured are 99 cents, most are expensive now, this discourage me to buy some of the things there.

You should read again the message you're quoting: nowhere is it said that all Outlet and QuickGrab items will be at $0.99, just that one item already in miladyderyni_173d399f47's cart saw their price dropped to $0.99 after the refresh of the outlet/QG selection.

there is no reason to feel discouraged by OS or QG. They  routinely have  some of the best deals in the store with no cart Jenga or nonsense.

To get the best pricing from OS and QG, you need a  D+ or Premier membership. Then you want to let OS and QG pricing propagate in the store after change over. That way you can see the actual pricing in QG and OS stores. There are usually a bunch of 99 cent items in both and this time is no different.

The thing is, even before prices settle in the store, they usually display correctly in the cart. That's what Milady was doing. Putting items in the cart just to see, and one popped  up at 99 cents.

no cartjenga - YES, and that is a huge plus. I find myself buying more from QG on OS than the rest of the store. Great bargain and a lot of pretty new products as well. just picked up a few Stomemason products for $5 and under each

Close enough. Actually, I already had the item in the cart when the selection changed, because I was getting ready to use my $6/$18 coupon. So I got to add another Daz+ model to the cart for nearly the same total!

Now I do sometimes drop newly added OS/QG in a cart to check prices, but it's only practical if you want to check a handful. Also, if you do this, make sure you go to the actual cart page. The popup may or may not show correct prices.

Depending on how many wishlisted things you have, you could just keep clicking "add to cart" from the QG/OS page ignoring the popup, and then check them in bulk in the actual cart, treating it as a trimmed down listing. :D
Not that waiting till the prices update isn't a reasonable thing to do, but... well, we're Daz shoppers. I don't know if a common understanding of "reasonable" applies to us. We're Daz-reasonable. ;)

Changeover for QG is likely in about 2.5 hours from this post -- grab anything you wanted before it's gone. :)

  • 3DSaga3DSaga Posts: 831

Thanks for the reminder! I went ahead and got two Stonemason sets.

  • Quick Grab selection changes over today. I can't recall when it usually happens, sorry.

Remember, the prices probably won't be correct on the pages for several hours after changeover, but will be correct in the cart (dropdown cart may not be correct). AFAIK, the only way to check an item's QG price is to cart it.

Happens at Universal midnight, or somewhere shortly-ish after.

(6 hours before Daz midnight, if that helps.)

Yes, it does. 7pm Central Daylight Time here.

Maybe the new QG will like me, or vice versa.
