Maybe I missed some when I looked through it before?

I saw the new selection this morning after waking up, before a new Daz day started so I guess it was a cache issue and you saw the new selection before I did.

Probably a cache. I am an hour ahead of Daz, & during the day yesterday I saw a shader set I had wishlisted but didn't recall seeing at OS pricing in my WL. Of course, I didn't buy it so today it's not there. :( It'll be back, & I have so much to play with any way, even before I checked the new Biweekly Freebies :)

I shoved a lot of the new outlet store items into my cart and when I went into said cart to move some to my wishlist I found this:  'Some of the promotions in your cart are about to expire. Expiration in: 30 minutes (2/05/2026, 6:00:00 pm)' Now I don't whether or not to pull the trigger and get them all. Can't really afford that so I shall get what I most want and see what happens to the rest.

I feel as if I really scored a winner with the Outlet today. Soiree Glam Hair by Neftis3D is one I had missed entirely, then on seeing it in the outlet store I realised it's absolutely perfect for a character I'm putting together. The right hair at the right time, and for it to be $1.99/$0.99, definitely a winner. Made my day. Regards, Richard.

I took a punt on that hair yesterday, yet to see how it looks in a render. I'm a bit suspicious of cheap hair, some of the first ones I ever bought were pure 8-bit looking.

That's an attractive hair, Richard. Glad you found it!

You can't judge a hair by what you paid for it. I don't know which hair items you're talking about. I know some of the older hairs don't look that great. Some hairs are ambitious but they end up looking like tape or ribbon. That's a byproduct of how they were made. Even so, there's every reason to think the Neftis hair you're talking about here will look lovely in a render.

Couldn't agree more with Torquinox. When it comes to sales like the Outlet Store, quality and price are unrelated. You really need to look for good quality vendors and then look at what's on offer. Vendors like Goldtassel, SWAM, Aprilysh, Linday, Akhelloos and OutOfTouch are almost always good to fantastic - though the G2/G3 hairs may need modernization. Neftis3D, well I am not a fan of Sonja Hair (too coarse), but every other hair from them I have is good. In a nutshell, look hard at the promo images and decide from those, ignoring the price. With regards to the price: Once the initial payback to the PA and DAZ is made, the cost of supply to customers is close to negligible, so both the PA and DAZ can make a return almost whatever price is charged, which is why in a product's later life, price and quality can be de-linked. Regards, Richard.

outlet is about all I can afford these days

not being DAZ+ and not really that impressed the 2 months I was

while it is 50% cheaper, factoring in membership price and the temptation to overspend to warrant it

just grabbing a few things each month serves me well enough

    that hair is tempting

not strandbased is actually a good thing for me

  • Quick Grab was changed on time, but the prices are a bit odd. The highest tier is usually bundles instead of single character, outfit etc. Not that $9.99/$4.99 are terrible prices for Victoria 9 considering the MSRP is $50-60. I may pick her up.

Also if anyone is a fan of PW Productions, they have a couple items in QG.

4.99 for a Genesis 9 Core character is the usual price for them.

I suspect I'll be joining you in that policy of purchase from now on.  It's just not feasible for me to purchase full-priced items one at a time, since the prices compared to making use of offers would be completely prohibitive for me.  To make matters worse, I'm landed with PayPal transaction fees as well as currency exchange charges (per order).  So what I do is hold back from purchasing anything for most of the year.  Then take out a Daz+ perhaps once (or at most twice) per year, and have a bit of a spending spree all at once so that I minimise the amount of fees and transaction cost, and maximise the price reduction.

It does the job in essence, but it landed me in a disagreement with Daz on one occasion because the sheer amount of products purchased at once, leads to a glut of refunds on bad purchases, which in turn makes it look as if you're trying to pull a fast one.  The trouble is, while £400 of content in one month might be normal to some people, to me it is absolutely astronomical, and the trouble is that Daz have no way of knowing why things are purchased in the manner in which they are.  I've never understood why it's so hard to understand why one who's dishonest would never need a refund, since such a person would never have been honest enough to pay for their content in the first place.

But right now I have a refund request in place that has been "Sent for Approval", and I haven't even started yet  :-D

So there's ways to maximise your content discount, but it's also a bit risky if you hold back in order to buy as much in bulk as I do in order to maximise as much as possible.  Hopefully the refunds will be approved, but if not I'll just not bother in the future, and will instead be adopting your more humble method without all the membership bells and whistles.

That PW Comound setting is in my cart now. I can't believe it's finally made it to QG!

To my surprise, Quick Grab actually turned over Sunday evening, several hours before I expected it to.
