Suggestion : New DAZ Discord Server/ Channel..

 

G'day  / Evening from Australia..

 

I  am on discord but there is 1 only Daz Server / Channel and that's for NFTS images etc... 

I think they are should be for casual Daz Server / Channel there also... as in for general chatting, sharing art for others to look at and so on..

 

But Not For Commerical stuff  .. just a place for Daz Users to hang out as it were...

 

I used to be on Facebook, till their AI thought I was advertising and so Disabled my account.. ...

 I do graphics as a hobby.. i am on Social Welfare in Real life !...

Hence why i am on Discord  and post artwork to Rendo'...

 

What do you all think ?

    @Matt_Castle regularly speaks about a Daz Slackers discord or something like that but I don't know how to join it.

    I'm the owner of the Daz Slackers discord that Matt talks about (he's a moderator on the server).  We've had issues in the past with links to it not being allowed on the forums, but anyone that's interested in joining please DM me here with your Discord info and I'll be happy to toss you an invite

    Yeah, the Daz Slackers Discord is pretty active, with a variety of relevant channels.

    Since the link is apparently not to be posted here, you can also do a web search for “Daz Slackers”. The first hit when I searched on DuckDuckGo turned up a site that let’s you get the join link.

    i found it  via web but join 

    make my discord login me out and i had to log back in..

     

    I tryed searching via Disacord itself. can't find the server/ channel. the only daz related 1 is the NFTS 1... as far i can see on my discord : (

    I even clicked to the link - Grivoio.io site - that is mentioned at the top.. and i could not find Daz 3d slackerer there....

     

    Btw : My Discord Name - is aussieartist_  -   NOTE : The Underscore....

    Daz Slackers was initially setup as a “friends and family” type server on Discord. The admin(s) have just changed it to a “Community”, but that apparently can take a while before the server will be approved to start showing up in Discord’s searches.

    Yeah, we have to wait for Discords metrics to decide we qualify to be findable.

    That NFT DAZ Discord was mostly for when DAZ was trying to sell their NFTs, and maybe convince those NFT people to turn into DAZ users. It is not as active anymore. I think only 1 PA there (ChevyBabe) and WIP Guru/Jay are the people who are most helpful, if you have technical questions about the app, and they are around.

    DAZ would be better off revamping the Galleries here, and letting us users follow artists and get notifications that others commented on our work.

    The downside to Discord is that it's all a closed/isolated space and only accessible to people who are members. The other is that servers can be deleted at the owner's or mods' whims. But the people running the Slackers server seem like they're all friends who get along. So this scenario is unlikely to happen over there.
