DForce Iray Tapeworx Blowing Up

I'm trying to use the prop tape product from this https://www.daz3d.com/iray-tapeworx with the recommended simulation settings in the product, and looking at the guide. When I simulate though the tape just mangles and explodes from the very first frame. Is there an easy fix or something I'm mising? Thank you.
