So, I made a purchase on 4/11 for 18.78, and there was a promo offer that if you purchased an item over $1 you would receive Lyra Solenne HD for Genesis 9 for free on Monday 4/13. But I have not received the character and when I put her in my cart she is not discounted. Has anyone else had an issue or is there something I missed?

She was discounted yesterday when you checked your cart vs. just looking in the preview (hint: always check the cart for accurate discounts; previews don't always show all of them). So what you had to do was to put her in the cart yesterday and "buy her." She wasn't added to your account automatically. Today, she probably won't be free anymore.
I think it was disingenuous for DAZ3D to make the character available the way that it did. :( If you played detective and proceeded as @joanna detailed, you made it through the gauntlet. Since I can sit at home and drink coffee, I made it through the gauntlet.
I'm not sure where the dedective part comes in here. "Check the final price in the actual cart" is advice that has been given for years now. It's not like the character was free only if you visited the product page, found some secret code by scrolling through the description, then added it to the cart, then had to remove it, then add it to the cart again, but from the main store page, and finally added the meticulously found coupon.
It was business as usual: put it in the cart. Check the price in the actual cart. When in doubt (it wasn't free for a few hours just after the changeover), check the forum thread "Sales Reporting" which is pretty much always on top of the forum page (and if it's not, favoriting it solves the problem).
I'm very unhappy about this as well!
The promotion with the picture, which was shown during the weekend didn't show, if this "Freebie" would be only the pure character figure or if it would content as well some extras or whatever. And I really don't have the time to spend the whole weekend or more days to play private investigator and search through all of the forums pages to see, if there's somewhere a hint to this - especially not since there isn't anymore a search function within the forums available. Altogether that's a bad experience.
Hmmm . All I did was "buy the character" and check out. It came up free in the cart. Done. The description was like most other products. it described what was there. Here is what was said on the prduct page. Its still there

So, because I didn't get the character Monday, she's no longer free? How would anyone know that? The promo didn't specify you HAD to "buy" the character ON Monday, it just said if you purchased an item over $1 you got the character for free.
Your best chance of getting the character free now is to do a Sales support ticket. Including the order number or numbers for your purchase(s) during the past weekend should be sufficient to show you qualify.
(As a Customer Service person myself, may I suggest a script? Try something like, "I didn't understand how to claim the free Lyra Solenne character offer for buying over last weekend. My order# from (4/yy/26) that qualified for the offer was xxxxxxxx. Could you please help me get this character?")
The promo (I screenshotted it) actually clearly said that you can get the character on Monday. While I understand that people have lives and can't do "investigations" (seriously, sales reporting thread is all you need, and it doesn't require using forum search or trying to guess keywords), this wasn't some overly complicated sale with 10 different conditions and multiple days of buying etc., and if someone cares enough about the freebie to get the buy-in, I would suppose they would care enough to check on the day, especially when the promo does not clearly say "will be added to your account."
I know not everyone shops daily and people miss codes and flash sales, but that's normal. We don't get to complain, "I wasn't shopping yesterday, so I didn't get that XYZ coupon!"
But, as said above, your best bet now is to fill out a support ticket.
There's a difference between having to investigate to figure out how to claim a freebie, and not being told there's a time limit or other restriction. Yes, the promo image said on Monday, but there was no indication that the character would be free ONLY on Monday. There should have been a disclaimer explaining the restriction.
...I made purchases on both days she was offered. When I checked early Monday morning after the store changeover the price in the cart was 8.57 USD (New Relase + Daz O.+ Gold Star discount). I was away most of the day Monday after having to address RL matters later that morning, and by the time I got home and signed back in it was just after midnight "Daz time" (23:00 here on the west coast) the price was the current 12.24 USD so apparently the offer expired.
I don't bother with the forums or store on the phone when i am away from home as it is a royal pain to navigate.
We have spoken to Daz and they are not going to let this slip, I can't give any timeline but they do intend to make sure people get the free character.

The character was added to the account library. Check, if you purchased anything during the weekend.
I just found her there. Even though I did "purchase" her on Monday because I liked a few of the items in the "Best of Bundling" offer and she gave me the discount for them as a new release, without paying extra.
So, you're one of the happy people. Me, I'm not She doesn't appear neither in my product library nor is she shown as free, if I put her into my cart - and I have spend a lot of money on sunday
Just checked my Account Library, and the character was added. Thanks to the DAZ team for sorting this out so quickly!
Yes, it should be fixed (or in the process of being fixed, I am not sure how long it takes). If you still don't have the free character by tomorrow, and did make a $1+ purchase on at least one of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday Daz-time then please open a Sales support ticket.
I had intended on paying full price for her, but got distracted by other things (getting ready to pay taxes) and somehow completely missed pushing the button. I ended up buying her for $5.69. Works for me, but if DAZ wants to credit me what I paid for her, I wouldn't complain. Would I have to do something, or are they sorting this out for us? (In my mind, they could run a script "If purchased during this timeframe, credit/refund price paid. RUN.")
I'd wait for tomorrow on this too, and if theer isn't a refund that you could open a ticket.

looks like I missed out too did buy stuff but forgot her been very sick in and out of hospital sleeping a lot lost a lot of blood apparently nose bleed they couldn't stop for hours kidneys liver blackouts dizzy weak tired and other things not good oh well thats life and brain not working to well
If you purchased Friday, Saturday, or Sunday Daz time then you should have her in your product library - if not, please open a ticket.
I'm not really sure if I did daz time wise in time maybe just before next sale cross over sometimes previous sales page still shows up as being that day
It would depend on the exact time of the orders on the 12th and 9th, and your time zone since I think they use local time.
that's what I was thinking as the US and Australia timezones recently changed
