Yeah, very strange. They spent nearly 2 weeks celebrating St.Valentine's Day, and not a peep about St Patrick's Day which is arguably a much more festive and celebrated (inebriated) holiday, in the US anyway.
Judging from my order history, there hasn't been a good St. Patrick's sale here for several years. Maybe there wasn't anything I wanted in the selection, or the deal/s had buy-ins that I wasn't interested in or were out of my budget.
Last year, I got in on a decent GC sale on 3/16, but apparently didn't find any St. Patrick's goodies to use it on.
Two years ago, we had a $50 coupon on Daz Originals or something like that, based on the discounted price.
There's a reasonable gift card sale up.
Yup. This is fhe one that gets my hope up every year now.
The latest "Green" flash sale is rather underwhelming. I assume it has a St Patrick's theme, given the colour, but there are just 60 items to choose from, and most of those have no other discount.
And it was outstanding!
Yeah. Hope for a repeat lives eternal. Probably dies eternal, too, but...
For this year we get a flash sale with a rather average gift card offer requiring buy ins (which is much like many other offers run during the year) and a potential for an "extra" 50% off off 60 items with no additional discount on them unless it's the 30% DO.
I'm part Irish, but today there's no luck for me.
I saw the gift card offer hours after I had made my daily purchase from DAZ. Too bad they didn't have it qued up this morning.
Only if you want to buy New/Still New Releases or willing/able to spend at least $160.80. :) Alas not me today. But enjoy.
*******
Now if there was anything in the Flash Sale selection I wanted, I would have gotten at least a small GC because it would have made the purchase a bit cheaper. If I am already planning a purchase and there's a no-strings-attached GC discount, no matter how small, I will always first, get a GC for at least whatever amount I was planning to spend.
Oh, yes! That $50 of DOs was the deal I was trying to think of earlier. I got 9 items for under $7 after the credit, from G8 clothing to an interesting sea monster from pre-Genesis era. I was hoping for something like that this year, since Daz is on again/off again with this holiday.
@SilverGirl That last line of yours goes for me as well.
Out of curiosity I looked back... looked like you had to buy something to qualify (which I vaguely recall). I wound up with a total of 12 things for $7.61 (with tax).
I am amused to note that I have so far used three of the twelve (BBQ apron and a Viking outfit + textures), but I still have solid plans for the other nine. Just haven't gotten to those projects yet. And the three I've used, I've used a bunch.
...I actually got three showing up when clicked the Wishlist Only box. However they are the three oldest and least expensive ones on the list which doesn;t warrant purchasing one or more 16 - 30 USD New Releases for.
Today they are no longer free but cost 1 USD.
Would be nice to see another couple of those wishlist coupon deals like they had at the beginning of this sale (which applied to the entire wishlist not just a small selection) that didn't require a new release buy in.
...
.,..on the other hand.....
March Madness™ is actually a registered trademark owned by the NCAA,
https://www.bfvlaw.com/ncaa-trademarks-think-twice-before-advertising-march-madness/
as an Australian I had no idea
I though it was maybe to do with being as mad as a March hare
or Shakesphere beware the ides of March from Julius Caesar
Google and Bing just schooled me too
Uh huh. And which one revolves around attractive women and men, romance, and an excuse for selling lots of lingerie items, and which one is focused on weird little dudes and drinking beer? And which of those sounds more like the kind of thing that DAZ already focuses on selling on a regular day to day basis? In other words, Valentines doesn't require much thought or effort for DAZ to put together a promotion and the product made for that promotion are basically sure things that will sell all year, whereas I've yet to see any sign that there's a huge untapped market for leprechaun items here. Beyond that, while more people may celebrate St. Patricks in a given year, the amount that's SPENT on each holiday is ridiculously in favor of Valentines day, with $29 billion being spent each year in the U.S., nearly 4 times the $7.7 billion that is spent anually in the U.S. on St. Patricks.
Be sure to check Related Madness at the bottom of every sale page, that has not always been limited to pre-2025 items. But it's luck of the draw each day which artists are featured there.
I'm hoping for a storewide sale before the end of MM with access to wider PA catalogs.
...which was why I let my D+ membership lapse for February.. .Not into sales devoted to sexy/skimpy stuff. I've noticed the store drifting more and ,more in that direction as of late.
.
It would take very little effort to throw together a promotion revolving around bars and related drunkenness... since that's what most Americans seem to think St. Pat's is about anyway. Plenty of assets in the store (and more arriving regularly) for that, no leprechauns required.
Not that I personally am all about bars or related drunkenness (being in a relationship with an alcoholic for almost two decades will do that), but it's low-hanging fruit.
...seems like everyday the special discount offers are always tied to a New Release buy in.. "March Mehness" would be more appropriate as it has turned into a run of the mill" Daz sale save for the stars discount,
You know know it's a really, really meh Mehness sale when we don't bother to make a thread for it! Even the Minimal to Non-existent 2026 St. Patrick's sale got its very own thread!
Just as well for me, payday isn't til next week. I do plan to pick up a handful of things. Both of RawArt's Raw Deals (https://www.daz3d.com/raw-deals--ferro-for-genesis-9 & https://www.daz3d.com/raw-deals--moaimir-for-genesis-9) are at the top of the list, for the next catch-up. And I will upgrade to Premier only because Daz finally has a bundle I want in the free selection. After that, I will see if the Door Prize selection still has some of my WL items.
So far, my only purchases (outside of biweekly & Daz+ freebies) have been a few of the Mad Door Prizes, https://www.daz3d.com/drago-fire-and-fury-bundle (half price QG/OS promo), & https://www.daz3d.com/fg-pirate-cabin (DO coupon). I got the cabin for the props; so many are good for all kinds of fantasy renders.
Oh yeah, I have so many of the FG sets like that, and for the vast majority I couldn't care less about the location. I just wanted the stuff. A lot of the cups/mugs/goblets in particular are really lovely.
...l also picked up RawArt's Ferro for G9. One of the rare times I would ever get a New Release or G9 character. In addition I grabbed the Cyberpunk Subway Station by Polish (30 USD) .for 2 USD and change with the 50% Buy In discount and got 2 tokens.
In general, I can't complain about March Madness. I'm not buying much, but I've gotten some crazy good discounts on things I wanted (Stonemason's sets!!!), and keeping the stars up turned out not too burdensome with some QG choices or mad artists items and being allowed to skip a day every two days.
But I do snicker at the "Include 2 or more new releases," because in the last days, I had a hard time finding even one I'd want so much, I'd pay release price (even with star discounts included) for it.
Or today I can include FOUR new/still-new to get 80% off a bunch of DO's that are only on my wishlist as fodder for freebie promotions. No thanks.
I have had a few good scores here or there, though, so even if I don't get another, I'll still consider it a success... especially since my two previous runs through MM didn't do anything but annoy me and keep my wallet shut. This one's been a pleasant surprise even if most days are still a nope. (Admittedly, the bar was, as my teen would say, "so low that demon children are digging it up and calling it buried treasure.")
Today's 80% has nothing to do with your wishlist. It's just 80% off this list of DO items: https://www.daz3d.com/mas-originals-plus totalling about 4200 shop assets.
Teen isn't wrong & such a great turn of phrase. Wish I'd come up with it.
Daz MM hasn't been a big spending event for me, ever. Last year I spent around $50, $25-ish in 2024, and under $20 in both 2022 & 2023. (Any membership fees not included.) Most notable purchases were 2025 Star Trek-esque Willow 9 bundles and in 2023 finally picking up in an amazing deal Pocket the Miniature Horse*, which quickly became a favorite of mine. Aside from the Willow 9 stuff, just about everything else was non-new.
*No longer available at Daz but IIRC sold elsewhere
imo, today's promotional is worth a look, even though clothing is one of those things that can easily sit unused if you buy too much.
The maximized deal seems to be:
The four buy-ins are about $15 with tokens/premier/gold star. Can be slightly less with 2 Newly Mad and 2 Still Mad.
This triggers:
I agree that this was worth looking into. Coinciding with a few things that are new/still new that I actually did want enough to wishlist, four of them in the cart are just over $15 (they're 84% and 86% off with 8 tokens/premier/gold star) and that makes it worthwhile even if I don't need/want any of the older stuff. There's actually more than four new/still news I had wishlisted and this sale also offers a more modest, but still worth-considering discount on just "new" items, which show up in my cart at 71% off (with no other discount showing on them in the store). I'll wait for a better day on the latter, but that's decent for a "New" recent release that's fallen off the discounted-new levels.
I know, right? They've been dropping stuff like pretty much since as soon as they learned to talk. I used to think it would be sad when they got older because they'd have full understanding of why whatever they said was so fabulous from an adult perspective... I was wrong. Now that they know exactly what they're saying, there's intent, and it's even better.
(Seriously, this kid made a scientifically accurate burn about the event horizon of a black hole at age 4... and then at age 8 followed up on it and completely dropped me.)
