Did you get your phone fixed? I have the 6plus iPhone and it's a pain to get photos and videos off of it. Like tons of other people, it will constantly say no new photos found (when of course, there is.)

Nope.  It is an old iPhone 3gs and I tried everything I could.

    Good morning!

Found a new poace to live, will be moving in on December 5th. - an extended stay inn, for now.  Full size fridge, premium cable, two burner stove, microwave, high speed Internet and weekly housekeeping service! laugh Very convienent, one block to the express bus stop, one to Popeyes chicken, one to a 7-11.. perfect location for an old dude who wants to make music and write code!

Overcast today and likely rain, I'm still gooing out to run around as I need a few things for the weekend and next week.

Next up - getting dressed and locating breakfast! smiley Everyone have a great day!!

I am waiting for my $90 dress to arrive.  KMart sent it using UPS.  UPS then transfered the package to the U.S. Postal Service.  I hope the post office did not misplace my dress.  The post office misplaced my AC adapter and some books that I bought a few months ago.

If they lose it, you will have to change your name to Victoria and buy a sword.  I hope your package shows up quickly.

The dress arrived.  The package sat at the post office for one and a half days.  I forgot to mention that I bought the dress when it was on sale for $15.  It has spaghetti straps, a lace skirt and rhinestones around the waist.

You got a great bargain.  I'm glad it finally got there.  USPS just gets worse and worse.  I got the same birthday(?) card in my mailbox 5 times, addressed to someone else, different house number, and different street.  Each time I marked the envelope and put it back it the box.  The last time I got out my red Sharpie and marked all over it, circling my previous comments.  It hasn't come back and I truly hope the intended recipient finally got it.

I bought the neighbor's cat one just like that in black for his birthday... I should probably stop cross-dressing other people's pets, but it confuses the hell out of them and the cat seems to enjoy it.

My next-door neighbor has a ginger cat looks like mine.  Hers is female and mine is male.  We can't tell them apart from a distance and keep trying to corral the wrong cat.  After losing 5 collars since August, my Sunshine is going naked.  No more accessories for him.

When we still lived at Chohole, neighbour acroos the road had a Tabby/white cat who was the spit image of our Cat.  We had to double check sometimes when we saw her walking down the garden path, but our dog knew instantly it wasn't his cat, even just looking through the window. and would bark like crazy if he saw her.  He alwasy refused to have any cats in his garden except ours.

See that's an example of specieism as cats see it... They are always complaining that humans think all cats look the same... "Put a gray tabby in a room full of grey tabbies and try and find your gray tabby if he doesn't come to you"... But the truth is cats think all humans look the same, and they only go by smell... This comes out once they've had a few beers... Then you find out how they really see us and how often they go on shopping sprees using their owners credit cards when they are sleeping or away... You think you cat is being cuddly when they walk across the keyboard when you are on Amazon?... They are leaving behind paw prints and trying to get a glimpse of CC info... So later when they order caviar and you find paw prints on the desk, you are not suspicious...

BTW... Five lost collars? They aren't lost... I can't believe you don't know what they really do with them... Collars are a form of currency amongst street cats... They usually trade them for cigarettes or catnip... Five collars in four months... I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but I think your cat has joined a street cat gang... Does he go out and come in at odd hours with no explanation of where he has been? Do you see him flashing gang signs at other cats or acting very territorial?  Have you found tiny vials of an unknown substance buried in his litter box?  I recommend you check under his fur for tattoos... Early intervention by family is the best way to avoid further problems... You don't want receive a call from him and find out he is at the pound, arrested for a drive by clawing.

But on a side note, if you are having trouble telling your cat apart from the neighbor's cat, I suggest you start dressing their cat up... Clearly your cat has joined a gang or is a nudist...

Complaint:  My main computer choked on a virus. surprise  Won't reboot, even into "Safe Mode"! sad  Tried running my Win7-RecoveryCD and even it failed to fix the startup issues. crying

I've pulled the hard drives out and connected to another computer and have run virus scan (Norton) and malware scans (MalwareBytes) but they found nothing.

I'd executed a recent update from Microsoft that claimed to be a fix for a bad update for MS Office.  System I think had been rebooted OK, but then I went browsing the BBC website and like an idiot got tempted by a side article purporting to list the dumbest US Presidents.  While clicking through the pictures my Norton went berserk and started screaming about attack, then typically virus like pop-ups started popping up telling me to "Click here to fix your problems".  I decided to panic instead and reached over and pressed the power button for 10 seconds to force a shutdown.  Since then the machine has refused to reboot even into SafeMode.

<sigh> Oh, well!  The system had been acting a little flakey now and then and I'd been kind of thinking it was time to rebuild the system anyway.  Three years is a pretty good run.

Whatever the problem is, I think my data is OK and salvageable.  Unfortunately my main system has oodles and oodles of software installed over the last three years and it's going to take me a long time to find and recover many of them.  frown

I obviously have other ways onto the Internet so you all who have not yet put me on the ignore list, will still have to suffer me. devil

I hope you can get it back up and running without too much expense and heartache!

    Dana

I have one more comment about lighting in 3Delight: maybe I'm so used to editing the sun light for Iray that I forgot how to edit lights for 3Delight.  blush  Creating images using Iray is fun despite the long render times associated with CPU rendering.

I prefer root beer with real sugar not corn syrup or alcohol.

  • Can you hear me now?

Back on-line with my primary computer.  Yea! smiley

Spent two days scanning for virus and malware with the system hard drive installed on a separate machine.  Found no infections.  Ran a "fschck" type operation to assure that the filesystem files & folders were all properly linked and accounted for, and that there were no weak recording spots on the disk.  It did report finding some free sectors marked allocated and said that I could find file fragments in the "found" folder.  I could find no "found" folder.  So, I'm not exactly sure the system is at 100% but after I reinstalled the hard drive and booted, it came up OK.  It has since performed another MS update cycle and still works OK, so maybe I can get back to work and make another set of backup archives.

    Happy birthday!!

I've been eyeing that root beer in BJs lately... I like root beer, and I like beer... But the info on the case is not very descriptive... Says it has a vanilla taste... And something like "it's not your grandfather's root beer"... So I was wondering what was like, just can't find anyone who tried it or a smaller case to try... If you say it's root beery, now I have to try it. I like stuff with a hint of alcohol in it.... Now I'm in the mood for my Mike's Hard Lemonade... But I ran out, all I have is half a case of Pumpkin spiced ale and Guiness...   And one solitary bottle of chocolate brock Samuel Adams which I think I can stop saving, because it will probably be back in season soon... Still... Miss the mike's...

    Anyway... HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

That's good to hear, I wanted to wish you good luck on that, but every time I do that someone dies, so I figured with you it's more skill than luck anyway, but "good skill" sounds pretty stupid. I hope the backup archives go smoothly with no hitches.

Mine were very absorbent when they were four... Mostly with dark stainy liquids and sticky substances... But now that they are ten, they seem to have gotten denser... Mostly to my voice and requests.
