Retry, Retry Retry

My Install Manager seems to be having trouble downloading my purchases. Sometimes IM works fine, but usually it doesn't, and I have to install my products manually. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

    I haven't had that, but if you can download from the product page do that and pout the zip in DIM's download folder to install.

    I have had the odd item get stuck now and then - I imagine it's sometimes a server or cache issue and usually resolved by trying again a few hours later.  Not had everything fail all at once before tho. In addition to Richard's suggestion, just to rule out the obvious and sometimes overlooked thing, I assume you have not run out of Hard Drive space on the drive that you download zip files to?

    Hard drive isn't full (yet). Didn't know you could install zips from the Install Manager. How does that work?

    If you go to your product library (https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files) you should be able to click on a product and it will show you the available files. Download the "Manual" zip(s) and put them in the folder you have set in DIM for downloads. Then if you click the refresh icon in DIM (top-right to the left of "Account") that product should move to the "Ready to Install tab" and so you can let DIM take it from there as usual. Not too difficult but not something you want to be doing with thousands of products.

    Ideally you want to track down and fix the route-cause. If there is nothing obvious then click on the cog icon (top-right) and view the two log files after you get a "Retry" error. Those two should give more information about what might be the cause. For instance, there was a period a while back where thinsg were failing due to a bad/missing certificate that had to be manually sorted. I think that has been sorted now but perhaps not?
