ooh. if you wanted for filter options, I like to edit out "add-ons" or product "extensions". Regardless, it's great!

You can actually already achieve this using the negative filtering I added.

Open up the "Categories" filtering section, and Ctrl+Click (maybe Cmd+Click on Macs?) on what you want to hide, whether it be "add-ons" or "textures," or something else, and it will remove those from the listing. I attached an image to show what I'm referring to and how the negative filter looks when enabled.

And since the bookmarklet adds the "Categories" section to any page, you can use this anywhere.

One note: in order to have the "Categories" filtering appear on other pages, you need to run the bookmarklet once on the homepage so that it can store the filtering data to the browser for future reference, since other pages are missing this data.

    Try '0-1000', it should work.

Thanks Elor for providing the explanation!

@Elor amazing thank you, I didn't know that you had to do the value in cents - probably a good idea for Utiltarian to add to the info post so it's clear what format you have to enter :)

I did explain the cents part in my (admittedly, very long!) forum post, but I also added it to the release post. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sure, you just need to know ctrl-clicking a category does something.

Thank, I missed that information and didn't understand why it sometime worked and why it sometime didn't blush

...would love to filter by figure generation like Gen 4, G9, etc.  Renderosity and Renderhub do that much better than here as the store search leaves something to be desired.

How about a text search that works on NAME? Even simply "contains" would be enough. No need for regex or something fancy

Can't you already do this using the "Figures" filtering panel on the left? If you mean that some items are miscategorized, that would be a data issue that Daz would need to fix themselves. Since I'd be using the same data, whatever I would make wouldn't be any better.

A text search/filter is not possible, the site data doesn't provide a full list of product names, only product IDs. At best, I could add a search for items that you just loaded to the page, but that's not much more useful than Ctrl + F in the browser. Your best bet would be to petition Daz to improve the site search.

Btw, haven't forgotten about the in-cart filters, just haven't had a chance to get around to it (and the other things I had planned). Hopefully soon!

On a side note, I did make a search script for Daz Studio that lets me nearly instantly find any item or product that I own by searching my product library (with regex support). But given that it's a bit of a hack in that it hijacks the Smart Content UI panel, I don't think Daz would let me sell it here. Adding a proper UI panel is on my to-do list!

At least they have added things recently. But most of my problems these days are the items that aren't correctly metadata'd.

    Cool.

BTW, the script doesn't work on daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result... This is the URL if you search in the search box in the upper right of the shop. Is it supposed to work there?

Ah I see, yeah you're right, it doesn't work there. The search page doesn't seem to use any of the filtering that most pages on the store use, which I assume is because it was built a long time ago and never got updated to support any of the modern filtering/infinite scroll features (hence why the page needs to reload whenever a filter is applied). So yeah, no way for the script to work there.

You know, I could technically convert the bookmarklet into a browser plugin, and host the data that the site doesn't provide (primarily, product names and full prices). Then I would be able to add a search function and a proper sort by discount. But then I'd probably need to paywall the feature, since it would require ongoing maintenance to update this data. Not sure that it's something I want to pursue.

Something that would be really useful would be a price exclusion box. I realize you have a price range, but what would work better in addition to that is to be able to exclude specific prices for example "EXCLUDE: 99, 199, 349" etc.. If there could be a comma separated box and we could put as many prices in there that we want to exclude. That way we could exclude specifically items that we know are QG or OS from our searches. Using the price range as is is dificult to do that. Often there will be things discounted to weird amounts that you will miss if you use the price range exclusion.

I'm not sure if is feasible but a button to add a purchased item to your cart would be useful to me

I was thinking to instead add a "No Outlet" option, which would hide outlet/quickgrab items. I wonder how useful a multiple, or exclusionary, price range option is if the main goal is just to hide these items.

As I have no knowledge of why they removed that functionality, unfortunately I don't think it would be appropriate for me to add it back in. After all, the goal of this script is to make using/browsing the store easier, not bypass its intended behavior.

Outlet exclusion would be most welcome since other discounts don't apply to them and Quickgrab ones lack the icon

They likely were a bit fed up with people buying the Oriental Tobacco Tray again and again.

And it likely bite them where it hurts when people took advantage of buying one cheap item again and again to take advantage of a sale.

Outlet exclusion if possible would be very useful. Is it also possible to have the opposite? Sometime, items are priced as an outlet item but are not included in the outlet selection and it's a pain to track them by using the price bracket.

whatever is easier to program. I like the idea of being able to exclude at specific price points personally because when things are newly added or removed from OS or QG I think excluding by specific prices would work better (it seems like it takes a while to catch up sometimes), but I don't really know. I would trust your expertise on this. Also it might help in future unknown sales situations to be able to exclude certain prices. Daz is always changing things.

I have a feature that I think this needs. It shouldn't be impossible.

A checkbox "always open in new window". I am constantly clicking on a shop item and when I go back, I need to reapply the wishlist filter, lose all the new filter settings I had previously set, and so on. If all the shop links opened in a new window automatically, no chance I lose my settings.

    Thanks for listening.

It would be cool if the ctrl-click to hide a category also worked on the other filters. Hide an artist, hide a genre.

My current shop flow is to click a category, check what's there, and when I finish, ctrl click it. Rinse repeat. I've wanted to do this with genres and artists a few times.

Hey, come on, we don't allow sad faces here!

Glad to hear you all have found my script useful. The site update breaking my script finally got me to get around to uploading all the stuff I've been promising (sorry all!), and I fixed most of what broke after the site update. I might improve the UI a bit at some point, cause now the filters are in two places (where they used to be, and in the new left panel).

Get it at the same link (note: only desktop updated at this time): https://buymeacoffee.com/utiltarian/advanced-filters-desktop

    What's new:

    • Added the ability to copy all the product ids on the current page. Click copies the ids after filtering, ctrl+click copies all the ids, including those filtered. (Enabled by the new enableCopyIds option).
    • Added jmucchiello's "In Cart" filter
    • When you're on the cart page, clicking the bookmarklet copies all the ids you have in your cart. (Enabled by the new enableCopyIds option).
    • The "Price Range" filter now supports multiple items/ranges, separated by commas.
    • The "Id Range" filter now supports multiple items/ranges, separated by commas.
    • "Price Range" and "Id Range" filters can be inverted if you Ctrl+Click them. Normal click = only those prices/ids. Ctrl + click = everything except those prices/ids.

Copying ids will copy them to your clipboard as a comma-separated list, so you can paste them right back into the "Id Range" field. This enables you to easily restore your cart if you need to clear it for some reason: just copy the ids, clear your cart, then go back to the main shop page and paste them into the "Id Range" filter, and you'll filter down to just those items.

Category filters are still working, including the negative filters. (Still useful since the site update didn't seem to improve their performance, it's still painfully slow.)

The license highlighting is no longer working, nor is the interactive/3d-print licenses, since those category sections were removed. At some point I'll probably look into re-adding.

For price range, you now have 3 ways to enter a price (always entered in cents, no decimal/dollar sign):

    • Exact price. Example: "199"
    • Partial price range. Example: "2000-" or "-600"
    • Full price range. Example: "1000-2000"

So e.g. to hide outlet, you can combine them: "99, 199, 349, 499", then do an inverse filter using ctrl+click.

Let me know if anyone has any issues. Image attached with the new features, and the "new" look.

It sounds like you might have been on an older version, because I did address this some time ago. When you return to a shop page, the bookmarklet should auto-restore all the settings you applied before you left to go to another page. This is what the "saveOptions" setting does. Each browser tab keeps track of its own settings, unique to each page, so you shouldn't need to reapply anything. The feature is still working with the latest update, so I think the underlying reason for your suggestion is already being handled.

Yes, thanks a lot - I was lost without them earlier today!

Now all I could want is for either your bookmarklet or Daz store to re-instate the "Daz+ Only" filter.

Except I use infinite s roll. And when you come back it doesn't return to where I came from if I'm more than a page down.

EDIT: Loving the in cart filter. Thanks for adding it.
