    We have taken many hundreds (thousands) of pictures. We will need to sort through to find the good ones. We are now leaving to return to Argentina and then Miami, via Colombia, and finally home. Drake Passage is still ahead of us. It will be a couple more days before we see land again in Ushuia, Argentina.

    We are now in the Drake Passage. We are lucky; waves are only about 3-4 meters, they estimate. The ship rocks from side to side, making it challenging to walk and use the stairs. Elevators are closed for safety. Artini, that is quite an image from your imagination. Thanks for it. My husband took pictures of me while I was on the ground, he said. I haven't seen them yet. I was instantly attended to by expedition personnel, so he was free to document the "event". It is forbidden to touch the ground, or sit or kneel on the ground, or place anything on the ground. He (husband) said I violated the rule the hard way, and was probably the only passenger on the trip to actually touch Antarctica! Maybe so, but that is not what I was thinking about while on my back on the ground.

    We wear special rubber boots and we walk through a boot sanitizer machine both coming and going each time we go out. We travel to shore in zodiac boats.

    I like your image, Artini. Is that AI? Due to multiple flight delays, missed connections, and reschedules, we've been stuck in Bogota for about 24 hours. We hope to get a flight to Miami this morning. Cross your fingers for us.

    or even bog o' tar, though that "refinement" didn't occur to me until after I posted.

    Thanks,guys. We went to Zoo Miami for a couple hours and are staying overnight. We'll drive home tomorrow (about 200 miles north of Miami), but we have to go via Longwood near Orlando for an errand, so that will add some time and miles. I'm longing to get home.
