How to soften the edges of PBR SKIN
PBRskin often creates sharp, unnatural black edges on the contours. How can I soften or eliminate them?

How are you lightning your scene?
This is G8F base.
This converted to SkinPBR. I made a few colorcorrections as she became lighter, and added Duallobe as she became dry.
I've tried various lighting angles and different HDRI environments, but the black lines are still there. The same thing happens with other Pbrskin characters, but the Iray Uber character I used before didn't have this problem.
I even adjusted the tonemapper, but the problem persists.
I must admit I don't see it.
This is Moussos G9 Fate with her SkinPBR, without changes, with similar lightning as the previous.
This is with one of the HDRI that is included with Daz Studio (I think), and has a rather harsh sunlight. For such I would usually have added some fill light.
This is with an HDRI it is clouded.
Maybe a bi-product of the micro-details maps (which are not always activated by defaults on Mousso's Genesis 9 figures)? I don't have an example at hand and it didn't look like the photo in the first message, but in some cases, I saw some harsher shadows on a character using micro-details compared to the same character using either Iray Uber or without the micro-details.
Microdetails could be a reason. I will try to look at that later. DS is currently busy with something else.
But if so, it should be easy to remove.
I noticed that different artists used different shades of shadow on their characters, but all of them had black lines around the edges (my initial example happened to be the character with the most intense black shadow).
I used the darkest shade, "Lycoris and Lycoris Hair for Genesis 8.1 Female", for the test, Lowering the following three values can significantly reduce dark shadows.
Dual Lobe Specular Weright, Dual Lobe Specular Roughness Mult, Specular Lobe 1 Roughness.
Please note the black outline of the nose.
I will continue to test other characters.
I tested microdetails on Silvia.
Default with microdetails.
And without. I would say she gets more glossy without, but probably not surprising.
