this can happen because of numerous reasons which is why one needs to know details

selecting currently used, shows you what morphs are dialed in so one can see what's causing it

if it's doing it loading the base character that's a different thing

it could even be something silly like applying a pose to the eyes, not the character (been there, done that)

It an absolute zero figure without morph or pose, eyes included.

As far as remember, it's because some parts of G9 eseesntials are not installed correctly

you shouldn't need to reinstall DAZ Studio

just the genesis 9 starter essentials https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/86958

    I admit I am puzzled

does anything show dialed in under currently used?

    Nope.

I'm a bit fed up by G9. G8 was way much easier to use. There's probably a G10 around the corner when the alpha will become a somewhat stable product.

That said, G9 is bringing a lot of improvement on texturing qualities, they could have been implemented in the G8, I suppose.

I'm even considering to quit that hobby : it' very time consuming, costly and the support from Daz is really limited, considering the amount of money I poured in their pockets.
