I'm not even sure which ones I hadn't picked up yet.  Ah well...

If they were on your wishlist, you can sort the wishlist by the artist and see them as inactive there.

I don't believe that works when the vendor store has been shut down, as otherwise I would have literally hundreds of inactive items showing instead of a few dozen..  As it is, if I type in "Oso" in the artist search for my wishlist right now, the only artist name that comes up is ThePhilosopher, while the place Oso3d seems to still appear in the store now is on products that were also DAZ Originals like the DAZ sheep.  I can still see the products I actually bought in my product library, of course, but even the readmes of things like Oso Mosasaur for Daz Dragon 3 are gone.  By comparison, I can still access the full origianl store page for every item I've ever bought from Renderosity from my product library there.

If I sort low -> high all the inactive ones show up at the top. I had many pop up today from Oso that I'd had earmarked as  "just in case I need it" situation.

I can't speak to doing any typed searching in the WL, as the Daz search functionality is so flaky that I don't use it for much of anything.

That was really unexpected. Good luck with your next ventures.

Sucks. Looking forward to your next step. This is a good reminder to love your people now rather than later.

It was there yesterday, but now I don't see it anymore, so it might have been a transition phase. Still, sorting my wishlist by the cheapest first shows the inactive products, and it always showed them for me. But if you claim you never remove yours when PAs leave, they might disappear at some point as well, so I'd check wishlist immediately. Maybe they're still there for you. (They are for me at the time of writing this.)

Nothing I can really add that hasn't already been said but my own best wishes. You were one of only a handufl of PA's I considered to be very original with their works here. Fortunatley, I bought most of your offerings I was interested in.

Reyna and Reynard are best foxxos, I'm glad they're still on the store. (Now as Daz Originals) I can really see the care that went into their designs.

Thanks for all the cool creations, best wishes for the future. <3

Sorry to hear that too. Your creations always added a touch of fun to the store. I wish you all the best in your next adventure, whatever it may be.

can confirm that all of his content is gone, except for any that have a co-publishing with another vendor

I own a great deal of OSO/Will products. I am surprised at such an abrupt announcement. The products were all inactive at the time of the post. Freshly inactive. I really appreciate it when PAs like former PA 3djoji and some others have given us a heads up. Those PAs are very thoughtful, very classy and the heads-up is a clear demonstration of  respect for buyers. FirstBastion gave a heads up when retiring some of his content . . . again very classy and  thoughtful. Wish more PAs were like djoji and FirstBastion.

    @emanuela said it very well.

Thanks for everything - I have a good number of your wonderful creations, and have regularly appreciated your generousity and wit in this community, and I truly hope to see you around in the 3D neigborhood.

    best to you,

I like your work, but recent events make me think that something has happened that only PA knows about.

Whats happening is what is happening everywhere....economies are not doing so well, and the hobby market tends to suffer for it because it is some of the easiest spending to cut back on.

    All PA's feel that pinch

While I understand that sentiment, I can't really connect "moving on to something else" with the store closure. If I, as an author, decided I'm not going to publish any more books, I would not unpublish all the books already out there, even if I wasn't going to work on new things or promote them. It would become a supplementary income (as little as it might be without promotion, it's still extra money). Is there more to the PA's work when the product is released? If you never released any new product, are you still going to have to do some invisible work? Pay some "listing on Daz" fees or something like that that makes the store closure more feasible than leaving the store open and just not releasing new things?

(Not questioning Oso's decision or anything. Just curious about how things work and trying to understand better different motives/reasons.)

That much is way beyond my ability to comment on...all I can say is PA's are individuals and have their own reasons as to how and why they do things. I am sure there were reasons why he chose this method, and those are his own.

I'm not commenting on Oso here as I don't know him, save to say that I'm sad he has gone but wish him all the best.

More generally - and this wasn't something I appreciated when I was barely getting by on a wage, meagre but largely guaranteed and handled for me - sometimes extra revenue streams can complicate financial situations. They are very much unique to each individual.

I think so too. After all, the examples are there. Of course, it might be for very personal reasons, but I understand the plight of creators. I use the things I buy here to create, and so far I've only recouped less than 1/10. I'm basically sustained by love to continue creating. Besides the overall economy, there's also the competition from AI. I won't go off-topic and talk about AI, but I just want to say that in this era, I especially cherish and thank all the artists who create great things. From a buyer's perspective, I certainly don't want artists to leave here. There's no more cost-effective platform than this. From a seller's perspective, I can understand whether it's raising prices or switching platforms. Oso has many unique and excellent works that I haven't had time to buy yet (I don't have much spare money). Wherever you go in the future, I wish you all the best and hope you can continue to create excellent works, in whatever form.

Why close the PA stores though? Am I missing something or are they passive income you just wait on coming in?

If the store isn't closed on Daz, the PA can not sell their products anywhere else.

Does anyone own Oso's Toon Shader for Iray? I bought it a little while ago and decided to try it out tonight. There are 3 numbered .duf files in the shader presets/Oso3D/Iray/OsoToon that seem to match the tutorial pdf, but they throw a Studio error and, on inspection, are (not quite) empty (they each have "nothing" written in them). I'm suspecting I'm going to have to return the product given this thread, but thought it worth sense-checking I'm not being a dolt first.

It sounds like they are tips, where you hover over them to see instructions.

I'm so glad it was the Ainm is a dolt option. Been looking forward to using this product as an alternative or supplement to Filatoon.

    Thank you!
