is there a script to make an object opacity to goes down to a certain value and return it.

The problem is finding hidden objects are annoying.
Even until now, the scene tab cant sort hidden objects.
My solution maybe just lower the opacity of the objects through script, and when I'm done, reset to default whatever the value is previously.
