what do you have to buy for a 90% discount? I put in a debut new, get coupon no valid. Its does work with 80& offer. So I assume its a bundle, but the debut new bundle is limited to Addy Celia and VRV Celia Jewelry Bundle | Daz 3D as far as I can see. Still new has at least a couple choices. Is that the game we have to play? Limited.

    90% off*

These Top 200 Environments with a Debut New or Still New Bundle

The tickets are a bit pricey, but the more you buy, the more you save. I checked my shopping cart, and the total price is 95% off, which is even better than the previous best deal of 92% off.

At least today, many of the top 200 items are on my wish list, whereas just a couple of days ago, I only had a handful.

Still new bundles work fine to trigger 90% off. There is a hair/pose relatively cheap and maybe if one bought the Lumia hair for $3 the other day, it may discount nicely with the lewelry (can't test that myself, but should be cheapest option)

...the issue with new release buy-ins is you have to offset the initial cost with the savings total which usually means spending more than my budget allows (even being a D+ member).

Fortunately for the 80% coupon in these sales, they are allowing Debut and Still New Daz+ releases to use it (which also get the Punch and Token discounts).

My poor wallet! But the environments sale had a lot of wishlisted items I'd been hoping to pick up someday.

I don't think the Top 200 list has any correlation to people's buying/wishlisting habits, but I could be wrong. The selection feels randomized - though lots of good items indeed!

anyway, I broke down and put a cheap still new bundle in my cart, and the products from the 90% off are coming in at 94%... I mean, that's real good, but they must not be utilizing the punch card 40% off on these. I have 4 tokens..but I see in the small type that there is a minimum of $1.99, so that must be the catch, altough I have a couple that less than that.Who knows. Its always a  mystery how sales add up.

...made a correction to the post after you read it.  The coupon I mentioned is actually the 80% off one for the Environments that requires a Debut or Still new item (got it meixed up with a different one from a few days ago) .  If you have a Daz+ or Premiere membership there is a Daz + item in the Still New category that will work.

Actually 90% off combined with an extra 40% off is 94% off, so you do get the discount from the punch card on them.

Minimum price on non-Daz Originals is $0.83 with 8 tokens and 3 Premier punches. That's correct from a $1.99 floor, so I guess you must be seeing $0.93 minumum price with 4 tokens? I think the best you might be able to get is 95% off anything with a base price of $19.99.

Anyway, the difference between 4 tokens and 8 is only 10 cents for most items. Not too shabby!

As Leana pointed, 94% is indeed the 90% x 40% from punches. And the good news is, the puches work AFTER the 1.99 floor, same as tokens. Only items bellow 19.99 before adding to cart hit the floor once aplied the 90% discount.

Max discount for non-Daz Originals for a base price $19.99 is:

    $19.99 * 0.7 (8 tokens) * 0.6 (Premier rate with 3 punches) * 0.1 (coupon code with bundle buy in) = $0.84

The floor price ends up not mattering because tokens and coupon codes both break through the floor price.

For the discount math, I think of it as multipliers, e.g. no discount would be a 1.00 multiplier (leaves 100% of the price) and a 40% discount would be a 0.6 multiplier (leaves 60% of the price)

I'd say it makes more sense to multiply the base price by 0.1 first, though, because that's the price that has the floor. You're correct on $0.84 - I have some items in my cart for 0.83, although I note those are sub-$19.99 items. I assumed the $0.8358 floor minimum was being rounded down, but it appears there's simply a rounding error on the lower priced items in my cart. But thank you for explaining it to me ;)

    "Top 200 We'd Like To Sell" =P

I mean, really, they never said what it was based on, so that's as (or more) likely as anything else...

the lowest I have in my cart is $0.93. I will say that I have 19 itemes in my cart at an average of $1.40. Thats not bad considering the cheap bundle and some of the 90% off items were kind of pricey, at 38-39, Stonemason stuff.
EDIT: i added a couple more items and now average $1.32. This is hopefully my last big purchase, but I still  might dick out of this one and stay at free... the total is only $32.00 though.... but I'm triple past my budget cutoff befor this purchase.

Best I can tell, Daz setting a floor price for the Top 200 has had no effect the last few days, I think because they keyed the 70/80/90% discount to a coupon code. Coupon codes are applied after automatic discounts and usually (always?) undercut the floor. Tokens always undercut the floor. I'm thinking the cart formula order is Punches > Coupon > Tokens and the only discount that could trigger the floor price would be the punches, but they never do because they're a negligible discount starting from the base price.

Scratch that, a floor price is definitely happening since a $14.99 item and a $18.99 item both ring up as $0.83. Seems it recognizes the floor at $1.99 from applying the 90% first like @Ainm said, then applies tokens and punches ($1.99 * .7 * .6) which always comes to $0.83 or $0.84 depending on rounding.

At any rate, those are some nice prices. :)

i didn't have a GC, but my funds are for done and gone, way more than I usually spend. Ihave 12 tokens and 8 that I'm hoping to get back from DAZ when I mistakenly left them applied with a $2.99 product that doesn't discount.  Only thing, going forward I'm out of the game for at least 3-4 months, so they're not going to be used.

No freebie on the Advent Calendar for me today,

Just a "hair" for around $13.

    Humbug.

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 41,928

...that's been the case for 5 out of the last 9 days for me. It's either been G9 content, textures for clothing  I don't have, or skimp/sexy stuff, none of which is on my wishlist even though about half of it is DO items (not Daz+) under 30 USD.

FAST Animation Studio tool and Blender to Daz

For someone who hasn't even finished making a donut using Blender (because I got involved with DAZ halfway through), are these two products worth it? I remember being shocked by the price back then, but now that they're so cheap, I'd like to try modifying or rendering the model in Blender, maybe even adding some animation.

Will these two plugins make this process much simpler?

The paid-for item in the Advent Calendar is always $2.99 in the cart, even when it (always) shows the wrong price in the Advent Calendar on the sale page. If you want the hair for $2.99, put it in your cart.

I am burned out. I have two free items and the calendar item (running shoes) that wasn't on my wishlist in my cart and that will be it. I have had a lot of joy from the Christmas gifts and Stonemason's items, along with picking up a slew of items I had wishlisted. But putting in my categorizations has worn me out. Add in the whole 3DL stuff. I haven't been able to render anything. Only yesterday I found out the Alpha update on Mac was FUBAR and that capped off my day. Water was turned off when I got home from the doctor, cat had thrown up on my bed, dishes waiting to run in the dishwasher... Joy to the World. The water board replacing a valve to my building.

    2026 can't come soon enough.

Same here - I need a really good gift card sale tomorrow to see in the new year and set off with a good start. ;-)

I knew i might regret spending yesterday. But not so much. With the 'tops' being so... odd, never would had guessed they will include the expensive tools with 90%+ off

    I'm out of money crying

I've been limping along with no funds. Oh yeah I realize the freebie offerings are partly influenced by my spending.

Ok. I figure I'll wait till the New Year and see what happens.

But the last few offerings for discounts are terrible in my estimation. I didn't want anything from the Best 200 of any category.

And it turns out my senior friends appreciate the cartoons I'm making with the Genesis 8 "senior" characters such as Mabel.

I'm also thinking about how future developments in DAZ Studio will push me out of the running.

The end of 3Delight doesn't bother me too much. I don't use it much any more.

But then there is the reality of my 6-year-old computer.

My nVidia 1650 (plus?!) with 6GB of memory will soon reach its limits. Or it will be deprecated (abandoned).

Eventually DAZ Studio 2025 (?) will arrive. Eventually I'll be left behind in the dust.

In the meantime, my 98 year old Dad is having more health problems. I need to prepare myself for that. I might be losing my Dad.

as far as the advent calendar, there has been nothing from my WL and nothing that seems to match anything to do with my purchasing history. I dont care, I grab the free item, viola, free item. This sale has crushed my moneyaccount. It gives me stomach butterflies how much I've spent. The spend is over.  4 free items today, and I like all of them, plus if I were to buy anything, it would be Feng's Willow FN Willow HD for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D  This time I will make sure there are no tokens applied.

  • Don’t overlook the “Debut” item dForce Pleated Skirt And Cropped Tank, to get the discounts (for Top sale, Countdown, +30% off Still New, Featured Artists). At $10, it’s the cheapest Debut item I’ve seen this month. Ended up at $3.27 in my cart after various discounts.

Adding it to a cart with a Still New Bundle for the top sale lowered the overall price (except with the cheapest bundle, Lumia Hair and Jewelry Bundle, which I didn’t want), making it better than free for that.

  • Yikes, I might buy all the stuff in today's sale. (OK, not actually all the stuff, but ...) I was fairly resistant to the "best of" sales in previous days (in part because I'd already bought everything I really needed from the offerings) but for 96% off, I can always use another "hair, tools and effects" item.
