In my case, too, all the items, free or paid, came from my wishlist (thanks to suggestions from this forum, I think) and were fairly recent, which is great! Sometimes it's really difficult to choose, because I'd like both items. So far, I've managed to spend no more than $2 or $3, but my credit is dwindling dramatically, and I don't know if I'll be able to keep going much longer.
I have a question: if I buy something using the $6 coupon on an item that costs a little more, for example, if I buy an item that costs $6.50 and use the $6 coupon, thus spending 50 cents, does that purchase count? Is it considered $6.50, and therefore valid, or $0.50, and therefore invalid?
It is listed in the readme.
If you have Daz-deals add-on (also the free) it gives a link from the product page.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the answer. (I don't have Daz-deals add-on, where i can find it?). Maybe you are not referring to my question, but to some other post?
Yes, it's the answer to the post right before yours.
And to provide non-answer to your question: I don't know, and I don't recall anyone trying to check. If you want to stay on the safe size, pick an item that will give you over $1 after you use the coupon and before tax
I realize I didn't explain myself well, I meant if I make a $6.5 purchase which using the 6 euro coupon becomes a $0.5 expense, is it calculated as $6.5 and therefore valid to keep the punches? Or is it considered a $0.5 expense and therefore not valid for maintaining punches?
Ok, thank you Joanna! :)
Coupon reductions, like sales reductions, aply before they take the value of the cart - what matters is the amount paid, as case of store credit. So in this case it would not count for a punch.
I have three punches but my advent calander freebie is a texture set for an outfit I don't even own.

Same here for past two days. Guess I'm on the the Naughty List because on the nice list items, for past two days, have been past purchases for me. But I do appreciate those wonderful PA Gifts, and DAZ putting on this Holiday sale.
Like @Felis said, it's listed in the readme.
Daz is sadly not providing a direct link to readmes from the store but they are providing the SKU on each product page and with it you go to Daz wiki :
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/[SKU]/start
As an example, Victoria 8.1 SKU is 80093:
https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-8-1
So her readme is here:
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/80093/start
And the release date is here.
If it's a product you own, you can also get to the readme from DIM (the ! in a circle) and I think you can also see readme from within Daz Studio.
Another simple solution is to install Daz Deals (at least if you're browsing in a device allowing installation of add-ons) because among the various features included for free, Daz Deals will add a link to the readme on the SKU number of each page (warning: bundles don't have readmes).

same, but I did add it to my wishlist as I didn't want the paid one either
might come up tomorrow
Freebie is a @20.95 81xxx sku and the cheapie is a $21.99 88xxx sku
So three days ago I went back and scoured Daz Originals and wishlisted some of the items from G9 to G2. Yesterday and today, the main G9 sci-fi outfit and then the texture set showed up as the pay for calendar items with their normal prices. When they hit my cart, the prices went to $2.99. Nice. I will look forward to what is up tomorrow. So thanks everyone.
Glad it's working better for you!! (And yeah, don't trust the price till you open the real cart. That's been going on all sale.)
Today's items: freebie $24.95/SKU 81k, cheapie $24.95/SKU 87k. Both on the wishlist.
The only advice is fill your wishlist with non-Daz+ DOs with base price $24.95 and under, and SKU 90,000 and under. You'll probably need at least 60-70 (I would recommend at least 100, so the algorithm has more to choose).
This thread seems to be showing the trend that if you do that, you get the list of things you are interested in. If you don't, you're more likely get random stuff.
Today's Freebie: https://www.daz3d.com/shaylee-for-genesis-8-female 60083 $17.95 (not on my WL)
Today's Paid https://www.daz3d.com/vyk-medusa-for-genesis-9 87571 $26.99 (from my WL and I'm delighted
)
1st time I've had an item >$23
Also got the 4 x female chaaracter morphs - see how they mix with others - and obviously the gorgeous free revolver <-- thanks @Mattymanx
I have 66 of those in my wishlist already.
As I said, personally, I don't think just 66 is enough. The way I see it, the algorithm needs to make it random, so you might or might not get them, so if you don't have enough for the algo to pick from, it all comes down to luck. Some days you'll get things from your wishlist, and some you won't. If you have more, it's more likely that all items will be supplied from your wishlist. I know in theory it's all random, but it's my second year of having a large number of qualifying DO on my wishlist, and it's the second year where I'm consecutively getting all the items (both free and cheap) from my wishlist. And seeing as others report similarly, I don't think I'm some extremely lucky outlier who just happens to get WL items while others don't.
I also don't believe that the amount of punches has anything to do with what you get. That "better choices with punches" is, to me, another botched up wording from Daz (which we've seen over and over again) meaning "getting two items to pick from is better than getting one item to pick from."
I always got something from my wishlist, with, I think one exeption in 2023, when my wishlist was smaller, but after adding multiples DOs the day I got that item not from wishlist, I ended with products pulled from my wishlist every day.
My highest SKU is 92507, but it could also be linked to the release date: the most recent item is from the end of November 2023
Yeah, my highest was above 90k too, but since I haven't seen that many reported, I thought the under-90k gets a better chance to appear if someone's building a limited wishlist with limited amount. I have a lot of both, so it doesn't matter to me that much, but I know some people are keeping their wishlist very trim.
Yeah, same. In 2023 I'd just started my Daz journey and had no idea what I was doing and not a lot of anything on my WL yet. Mostly I got random stuff with the very occasional WL (often something I'd recently added from a LD, so I think it was trying!). Lasy year I came prepared, and everything was WL. So far for me this year as well.
Also agreed on the earlier comment about the botched wording. Not only is it suuuuper open-ended, but the coding necessary to further refine options based on punches? Experience says it's unlikely to work as intended (or at all).
Today, freebie with sku 68xxx and cheapie sku 86xxx. The most recent offer was a cheapie with sku 87xxx, and the most valuable one was about $18. They all came from my wishlist, where I have 173 DOs, 27 of which are DAZ+. I can't tell what year they are from, because I don't know where to find this information. I think the most recent is from the end of 2022.
If you look at the ReadMe, it should tell you the release date of the item.
Since two days I haven't got a free choice in the advent calender. Is this normal?
And all the other choices have been add-ons to assets I don't have, so obviously I will not buy. How does this make sense?
I've finally decided I can't keep up with all these offers and sales.
There are just too many options or variations.
I've padded up my wishlist, and have received freebies based at least partly on my choices.
But I'll stick to what I really want. I don't care if it's a "New Release or Still New Release," etc. The coupons also are confusing.
Why can't I find all the offers and all the coupons in the same place? I end up copying the member coupon codes somewhere and lose them.
I have some ideas for projects and goals that I want to accomplish. That will guide my choices from there.
If you haven't purchased anything in the previous days, you will not get a free option. This behavior of the calendar is normal. If you purchase something today, you'll get a free option again tomorrow.
There two possibilities:
So far I've done pretty well. I bought one early Genesis 9 item that was on my wishlist. Everything else has been Martin J Frost/Daz plants from my wishlist, as freebies. They're cool plants and if I get plants all month I'll be perfectly happy. I guess I may have to start adding other things to the wishlist if the supply of eligible plants runs short -- I haven't counted.
Well, while i still get freebies, last couple days were ancient things i have zero interest or use for. First few days were nice tho.
PAs gifts on the other hand do not dissapoint.
I'm not sure what to tell you. You're literally in the thread that offers all the advice on how to not get ancient things as your freebies.
