You have to pick one of them. Either one for free or the other for $2.99. Remove the one for $2.99 and the other should be free in your cart.

Ah. That really ought to be somewhere on the page.

Agreed. Either they're operating on "well it works the same as last year so you should just know" -- or there's some text missing.

Are there conditions for the calendar this year (i.e. must have bought something in the past X days for the free option, paid option does not stack with other offers, etc)? Because if so, they're not there.

Those conditions are for the punches right?

Yeah, but IIRC there were conditons for the calendar last year that were similar to (but subtly different from) the punch rules. Maybe there are no rules this year, but given the Daz tendency to leave out rather vital portions of the fine print, and the fact that there's already no explanation of the either/or, it seemed worth asking.

The Advent Calendar item that's supposed to be free (The Core Set) is currently showing as $4.48 in my cart. The other item, the "Easygoing Poses for Genesis 9", displays at the correct $2.99 price.

I'm seeing different items in the advent calendar:

The Healer Poses for Genesis 8.1 Female and Prixi For Genesis 8 Female

Are there different/individual versions of the calendar?

Yes, I seem to recall it was like this last year as well.

    Thanks for confirming.

Yes, it's based on your wishlist, at least if you have enough eligible Daz Originals items in it. Otherwise, the system will chose among all eligible Daz Originals.

They are also a price threshold and we believe it's higher for the 2.99 items than for the free one, but you can still one day have a free item with a higher price than the paid item.

No  DAZ originals in my wishlist atm. Oh well, something I sort of want may pop up... (the curse of having too much content...)

IIRC last year if you had no punches you only had one of the options available in the calendar, I think it was only the cheap item but I might be wrong.

I thought I remembered the availability of the free item being tied to a vaguely worded "recent" purchase, which folk eventually figured out meant it had to be something in the previous two days. And for one of them, a $1 gift card purchase would cover it -- I want to say it was the calendar, but I'd bow to someone who remembers more clearly.

  • Guess my wild Black Friday shopping earned my a 20% off coupon. Anybody else? And anybody an idea whether that coupon might hold some time? Does not say anything about duration. Only that it is single time usage.

I operate on an assumption that unless otherwise specified, the orange banner offers are only for that specific days. They do, on a rare occassion, last a day or two longer, but I prefer not to take my chances if I'm interested.

How many items are supposed to appear on the case for the Advent Calendar? I see only 1 item and not free at all (I know, I saw the Code66's freebie in another area). And yep, I don't remember everything from a year to the next ;)

If we miss a day do we loose all our punches? Does the purchase of gift cards count toward a punch?

How can we see how mant punches we have?

If you scroll partway down the page, there's a section for it, and it lights up the icon next to the 1, 2, or 3 punches that you have (if you have them). Notation says purchase doesn't count until the following day, so if you buy something today, don't expect a change until tomorrow.

Thanks. I figured it out right after I posted; so I changed my post to ask other questions instead.

"When you miss 1 day of purchasing, the punch deal starts over.
Purchases of Gift Cards do not trigger punch card discount."

I have 3 punches and am a Daz+ member but the Marius character is not showing free in the cart.

The full cart, not the pop-up cart? I had to go to the full cart to see it free.

  • Seems Like there is a problem with the Featured Artists Today. When using the "View All Items" and Sort by New Arrivals on the Page it brings up, the first Item, or "Newest" is dForce urbanXedge Clothing for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D'

which was released on May 24th.  Also many of the PA's in the list today were also Featured yesterday and were not missing their more recent Items (older then 90's, but newer then 6 MONTHS ago.  So is this intended for Today?

My purchases over the last 3 days of the Black Friday sale have given me the 3 punches needed for unlocking the free Marius HD-8K for Genesis.

But the price showed up as regular price until I went to checkout my cart. It was not shown as free on the product page, or when added to the cart—only after I went to checkout did it’s price change to zero.

I’m also speculating that there may be new freebies each day, as an incentive to keep the punch card maxed up (with missing a day resetting the punches back to zero). Did that happen last year?

Question: Does buying a Daz+ membership count as a purchase for the purpose of punches? (As in maintaining the purchases-on-days-in-a-row streak—I know that the punch card discount does not apply to memberships.) I’m thinking of picking it up for a month to benefit from it through the sale, and might as well have it cover a punch card day (probably should have picked it up at the beginning of the Black Friday sale, but hindsight…).

Yes, that's how it worked last year. And "add to cart" doesn't always give you the correct answer when coupons are involved. Only the cart is "correct", except when there's a system wide issue, of course.

Ditto here, though, to be honest, while I bought a good bit in terms of quantity, I don't really think that I bought that much this year in terms of dollars due to the combination of Tokens & Premium and GC discounts on top of the sales, coupled with DAZ's limiting of quantities on so many of the daily coupons.

Sorry, I’m not clear on which part(s) are you saying “yes” to? (Or did you mean yes to all of the points?)

    1. The previous, Black Friday weekend sale, days’ purchases counting for the punch card.
    2. The discounts not showing up until going to the checkout cart page.
    3. New freebies each day to incentivize keeping the punch card maxed.
    4. Buying a Daz+ (or Premier) membership counting toward the purchases for keeping the punch card going.

    Thanks!

Subs should work, though this hasn't been absolutely verified.

    Hi all
Been away from Daz for some time, came back to maybe buy a few things.

So, a question from someone a bit less familiar with the sales cycles:
Is it better to buy now/today, or in a week/two (between Thanksgiving and Xmas), or around Xmas?

At the moment the things I had my eye on are 50% off, can't seem to find any additional offers to stack with. Mostly Gen9 things, newer.

But 50% is still like $15 per item, so even a few, starts to add up very quickly.

    Thanks

When it says a punch is more than $1 per "purchase", that means I could have 2 $0.99 items in my cart and check out with those, right?  Because the TOTAL SALE would be over a dollar?  I have several $0.99 items on my wishlist that I'd like to pick up ^_^

It doesn't say it, but the coupon doesn't work for Outlet items. It would help if it stated that in the exclusions.

Yes, as long as you have one order where the total is more than $1 it should work.

Outlet items already have their own exclusion/condition that say they don't stack with any other discounts and cannot be reduced to a lower price. Makes much more sense for it to be a blanket condition that always applies to every Outlet/QG item, rather than having to write it into evey single offer/deal that Daz does

So the "Better than Daz+" is the same as yesterday or is that a mistake?

Better Than Daz+ is yesterday's item ??? Shouldn't it rotate too?
