    4.8.0.59

This is what I started with, and I'm in the middle of a few projects, so I won't be playing with the 4.9 beta for a while.

I'm on 4.8. Have had a bit of issues, but that's primarily because of the computer rather than the version. I hadn't upgraded from 4.7 on the old computer but had no problems from it. Have found most versions since 4.0 fairly stable. DS3 was a horror show. But then DS3 only ran in 32-bit on the Mac.

Will probably not upgrade to 4.9 until I'm forced to. I don't use DIM and I want to install my own software myself. I also want to archive it myself. AND back up the archive. Am not enthusiastic about anything that's being said about the DAZ Connect feature.

I have the 4.9 beta installed to play with iray but no postgre so no smart content

I use DS4.7 and an older version of Carrara 8.5 as well as 8.1

I'm currently using 4.9 beta.  I'm not against the drastic changes DAZ has made or is moving forward to. That being said, I so far am liking 4.9.  Just the annoying issue of having to set up my workspace each time I open the program.  It does not remember how I had set it up previously and I have yet to figure out how to make it remember my workspace.

4.8, with no interest in 4.9 beta. I generally forgoe the enticements of the beta  releases. I made an exception with 4.8 beta since I wanted to get my hands on Iray as soon as possible.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

still of 4.7.0.12, wanted to upgrade to 4.8 for a long time, but since DS updates tend to subtly change things in my scenes, I usually try to get all my running projects finished.

4.8 and 4.9 beta. Both work independently without problems.

I'm also using DS 4.8.0.59 and the DS 4.9 beta and Carrara Pro 8.5. Both DS versions seem to be working fine without any issues. I did this image while playing with the 4.9 beta.

4.9. Works about as well as previous versions, plus a few bugfixes. Yay!

  • 4.8  I don't have time to spend on betas.  Will update to general version of 4.9 when it comes out, probably will not use connect until all issues are resolved.

I'm using 4.8 and have the 4.9 beta.

4.9 is a monster that I'm very unsure of. So I'm still mainly using 4.8

I don't like to muddle my computer wth the betas, so I always wait. I do upgrade when the betas are made available as main releases. I always keep a copy of DAZ Studio 3.

4.6.x  works well on my system

4.8 beta doesn't work too well on my system so did not install 4.8

read enough in the first launch of posts by the company for beta 4.9 to be 'not' downloading that. Not progressing in the same directions ;-)

Yup me too Both 32 byte and 64 byte versions of Daz Advance 3.1.2.32  because all the great plugins for it like partial FX.  Advanced Light-dome.Movie Maker. etc. that were broken when daz went to 4.0

Daz 4.6. 32 byte for the mimic . Because all  versions of DS mimic after 4.6 never worked right for me.

Daz 4.8.   My last copy of Studio I will use. or until Daz3d finely figures out DRM is killing their sales.

I also have started using my Poser Pro Again. . Just because i forgot how much fun I had with it . and have a wicked lot of content I can use in it along with my older versions of Daz Studio.

Daz 3 Advance is  a older paid for version of Daz Studio .they stop supporting it about 5 or 6 yeasr ago.  I think I paid about $120 bucks for it . Daz 3a has tons of great plugins that have never been available for studio 4 or newer,  Also Daz3 and Poser were very compatible with each other, . After Daz 4 came out all that was broken.

You could email and ask daz for a copy of it. would not hold my breath though. And If you find Daz 3 Advance on the net somewhere. it will be a Boot leg copy from some torrent site that you will properly get some Malware  like cryto-locker or worst from when your trying to download it.  So I would just forget trying to get a copy of it.
