I'm trying to understand the rationale behind a 10% off sale on items that, from what I can tell, don't stack with any other sale.

I am SO underwhelmed, aside from the free stuff. And I think I'd still be uninterested if I wasn't still looking for my replacement computer.
Is year of premium membership is suppose to give tokens?
I just noticed I got 56 tokens added to my account. I have bough year of Premium on Monday for $143.73, so going by 2.50 a token this is close to 140.
shall we make wagers on how many of the freebies will be balloons, corridors, vases, plants, texture add-ons?
well, other than that heart balloon, for free, I'm not seeing anything to buy. Again, there is only 1 item in my WL that is discounted, and its only 50% and has been much higher discounted in the past, so that's a pass as well. I do like the pose package for what it is, but its not anything I would use in my work. Gee wiz, am I about to not spend any money here for a day? I even bought out the Quick Grab items I wanted yesterday. There's always another sales day.
I opened my DIM so see a banner saying, "25% off Memberships, Stack Discounts on New Items, and SO MUCH MORE!" and I'm trying to figure out where that "so much more" is exactly, because it's definitely not the 10% "extra" discount on full priced items. But I suppose Better than Daz+ (I suppose it's true, since they're cheaper) items and the bundle are there, so it's just the disjointment between my perception of what "so much more" could mean and what "more" there actually is.
But I'm not really complaining. The discount on the yearly membership did get me committed (if nothing else, the $6 off monthly DOs coupon is worth more than what I paid), the stacking discount on new releases is nice for those who usually buy new releases, and since I spent so much last month, I can focus on rendering and other things. At least without codes and some crazy stacking discounts, checking the store takes much less of my time daily—I don't have to spend 3 hours playing cart jenga to figure out that, in the end, the discounts aren't so good.
Obviously, it's just the first few days, and as those sales go, they usually get better, and I hope that even if they turn out not as appealing to me, there will be users who will find something worthwhile to get.
And the free daily items! Yay! Seriously. I know they are small products, but somebody still had to make them and get them ready for Daz, so I appreciate them greatly. Thank you, Censored! (and whoever else will have created them as the sale progresses.)

I hadn't really been expecting anything out of this sale, so I'm delighted with the balloons (and vase) (and whatever else shows up). Maybe it's "simple" but it's sure a lot more than I can do!

Go to your membership management page and under your current tier "cancel membership." It's going to be valid until it expires, but it will not auto-renew.
I still don't understand this sale. Prices for new stuff seem higher than the old average. And they won't go down for a couple weeks at least. My spending this week has been curtailed compared to September. I suppose I may have cleared out a lot of my needs in September. I suppose.
...yeah, yesterday (Tuesday) I ended up getting a couple items from Quick Grab (one which was on my wishlist) and used the Daz O coupon to get a couple D+ items as well/ There doesn't see, to be much of any change in the item selection in the Featured Artists sale from the previous month.
...don't forget bus stops.
Yeah well, this sale somehow doesn't get off the ground for me at all. Same code for 6 off keeps being displayed when it's quite obvious that everyone will have used it by now. Yet another 'fantastic' offer with 10% off when nobody in their right mind will use it since it doesn't stack (and even if it did ... #shrug#) Virtually nothing in my wishlist is discounted. Floor price destroys any incentive to buy older items. The gift idea sure is nice, but how many vases does one person need? Dear DAZ guys, if any happen to wander in, what's this? I have 18 tokens I need to spend by monday. Please reconsider the strategy for this sale, okay?
As it is Thursday. Shouldn't at least 1 of todays bundles be DAZ originals. We had those vendor instead of DAZ original figures sometimes in the last weeks.
I was hoping for a new DO character bundle myself. Even if it didn't appeal to me, well it would make other people's day. And I enjoy reading how happy someone is with a new release, even if it isn't my thing. Or maybe a nice sale on existing Halloween content.
But - lowers voices to barest whisper - at least there's been no major Daz changes that have marred previous recent anniversaries.
Is there a list of the daily freebies? I've missed a couple of days.

I think it would be helpful if the extra free character bundle for Premier members was titled "This week's special" instead of "Today's special" since then I wouldn't try to use the code every day in case it was actually a new offer.....

Yeah, with everything required to have a buy-in to get a few percent off, this one is slowly sliding by. I think I'll wait until the next quick grab changeover. There has been some pretty good things I've picked up there. I've only added one item to my WL since this sale started, so that means I've passed on the doorbusters, and then that drips down to the new debut releases, and of course the still new, as they just drop to the next category the same products. I've only spent $21 so far with this current sale, the majority being from Quick Grab. The only purchase so far has been AH dForce Lacy Bloom Outfit and its texture set. $3.00. My Premier membership expires on the 17th.
